Chapter IV

"We decided that you and Aki will live in the world of humans... For time being, until this case is solved..." She whispered softly, I guess in order to calm me a bit but...

"I won't!!" I shouted and stood up. "I can fight too! And Aki can help me to stay safe!" I clenched my fists tightly. So they would send me away shortly after I have returned....?

"Milady. Your mother is right. The world of humans is one of the safest because it is neutral... So it would be good actually..." Aki walked slowly up behind me and I felt his eyes looking down on me.... This simple gesture reminded me of Kuruko... He used to do this too... And normally he'd hug me from behind and hold my fists tightly into his, until I stopped clenching them.

I felt a sting in my heart and I looked down. "Fine... But as soon as the villain is caught... You'll pick me up... Right?" I mumbled and mom answered.

"Sure... As soon as we got them, we will bring you the same instant back... So go ahead and pack your luggage... We have prepared everything..." I saw tears well up in her eyes and so I left the dining room, back to my own.

"Aki... Don't stand like this again behind me... This is an order." I looked up to Aki and he nodded.

"As you wish." He opened the door to my room and helped me packing my stuff and then again, I had to wait for him.

"I'm ready. Shall we take our leave?" Aki looked at me and I nodded. And so we went off to my new flat in the neutral world of the humans.

It didn't take long to arrive there, but as soon as we did, we hid our ears and looked like a... couple. A couple, which moves into their new flat, in order to have a happy time together until the day they die.

But we weren't a couple, and neither I wanted to spend here any happy days. How could I be happy if I know that there are people out there, who are trying to harm me?

"How do you like it milady?" Aki asked as I was walking through the completely appointed apartment.

"It's fine... I guess..." I sat down on the couch. "And how shall we live here? Or rather said, what shall we do with all the time we got now?" I asked and mom walked inside.

"You two will go to school, learn something from the humans and I am sure that this will take much time of you, and in your free time you can always read a book or something." She sat down next to me and so mine and Aki's private lessons started.

It was nearly 10 o'clock pm when mom stood up. "I guess that's enough for today... The unfinished stuff you'll learn tomorrow in your class." She winked and left me and Aki alone.

After a long time of silence I asked him. "Are you nervous?"

"Of?" He asked back, how plain.

"Well... The new school... The new class... I dunno..." I couldn't hold back a yawn and he shook his head.

"No, I am not. And what about you?" He stretched himself.

"I kinda am..." I shivered and decided to go to bed.

"Why?" He stood up at the same time as I did and I remembered my childhood.

"I don't know whether you might want to listen." I answered and went to our room.

"I will always listen to you... So don't worry..." He followed close behind me and laid down on the bed, below mine. In my room, it was appointed as if twins were living inside it. A bunk bed, where I was sleeping on the upper one. Two identical wardrobes, bookshelves and some other stuff, two tables for work and much more stuff like this. I climbed up the ladder and laid down on my bed.

"It's a very long story... And I don't want to bore you with details..." I said and held the plush tiger from yesterday evening tight to myself again.

"Then tell it to me, like a fairytale. What about this?" I could literally hear Aki smile and I threw one of the pillows down to him.

"Shuddup. I was honest with you and you're making fun of me huh? Thanks." I was just kidding but then I saw Aki stand up. I looked at his mask. "Do you actually ever take it off?"

"No. I don't want anyone to see my face so I don't. And I'd gladly listen to your story..." He softened his voice and so I took a deep breath and started to tell him.

"You know... As the only child of the leader of the clan..."
