Chapter XI

Months passed and today was the spring ball. I had to join on Aki's nearly, begging. As I was taking on the dress Aki got for me, I decided to ask about the mask.

"Aki?" I asked when I finished and he popped his head inside the bathroom.

"Do you need help milady?" he asked and looked at my exposed back.

"Please knock first before opening the door. But... What I wanted to ask was... Do you want to take your mask off?" I looked at him and he walked up to me. He leaned into me and started to close the zip of the dress slowly, and I saw his mask in the corner of my left eye.

"Sure... You want to see me without my mask...? You'd change your attitude completely towards me... And the way you act right now is actually too sweet... All protective over your childhood friend and he didn't even protect you back then." Aki whispered and I felt his breathe on my neck.

"Leave Kuroko out of that... I won't accept anyone else as my future husband anyway." I looked at Aki and he sighed.

"Forget him. That's the easiest way." He talked again in this disgusted manner and I pushed him out of my way. "Princess? Where are you going? Hurt because of the fact he will never return to you? Or mad that you have to deal with me instead of him?" He laughed in an amused manner and I turned around.

"I suppose, today your date at the Spring ball jumped off a moment ago. See you later and don't bring Shira home tonight and please, don't impregnate her, I don't feel like protecting you and then that bastard from our strict laws" I smirked and left the apartment. Who does he think he is? Aki should know that Kuroko is a very sensitive topic for me. By now at least I mean. How long have I been living with him, for about 6 months or longer so he should have profiled me enough to know how to anger or to lift my spirits. Idiot.

After a while of running around, I ended up in the forest, where I was kidnapped years ago. How did I end up here anyway?

I looked around, but not a single direction was familiar enough to tell me how to get back to the city or to my Kitsune village.

"So, you came back after all huh?" A voice echoed through the forest and I turned around. I knew this voice way too well. It was the same person, whom I thought to have killed. Instantly my Kitsune side escaped. My human ears were know fox ears, my eyes were as copper red as my hair and my nails become longer.

"I never came back. This is my territory. The one of the Kitsune!" I growled showing my as well sharpened teeth. "And I will get it back!"

"Oh? Really? A small incapable Kitsune against let's be gentle... 8 of us?" He looked up and down on me, as if trying to look under my dress.

"I will make it!" I growled and was ready to fight. As I was about to attack the leader a sudden grip by my neck held me back.

"Don't move Princess. I'm sick of guarding you." Aki stood behind me. "Accept it that you are lost to them." Aki kicked me and I fell to the ground. "Stupid Princess. Surrender to them."

"Aki...?! What's with this...?!" I growled and tried to stand up, but Aki placed his feet on my back and so in order to save some pain I just tilted my head towards his direction.

"Your own fault Princess." He looked down at me. "I bet you want to see me without this mask, don't you? Then let's grant this final wish of you..." Aki said and slowly revealed, what was hidden underneath his mask....
