Chapter X

3rd person POV:

Aki ran up to the rooftop after receiving a piece of advice of Shira and opened the door.

There she was, sleeping tight, holding the diary of her childhood friend tightly to herself.

Aki sighed. How much trouble was able to be done by a single girl?

As he was walking towards Virginia, he stopped in his tracks and covered his nose from the burning stench. He looked down to his feet and saw the puke.

"Virginia!" He rushed up to her. She simply turned her back to him and he covered his mouth, blaming himself for waking her up. He walked closer up to her, and picked her gently up.

He realized that she vomited actually and felt himself guilty. It was his job to make sure that she was fine after all.

"Don't worry, I will take care of you." He whispered gently and carried her home, after having excused her at the director.

Virginia's POV:

When I woke up, I noticed a wet towel on my forehead. I looked cautiously around and realized that I was at home.

"Aki? Are you here?" I was about to stand up, but Aki instantly ran up to me.

"Don't stand up. Stay in bed." He carried a tablet and though he was running, he didn't spill anything which was on it. "I made you soup, tea, and you should eat light fare, like crispbread. So no sweets, and no sweet drinks either except of if you want me to add some honey to it." Aki explained as I leaned onto the wall next to my bed.

I took a glance at the clock, we still would have school actually.

"Why are we at home?" I asked as I pointed at the clock. "We would have math normally."

"You weren't feeling yourself fine, were you? I mean, you vomited on the school rooftop and you were sleeping there actually. Virginia. What happened? Was something wrong with the breakfast? Did someone hurt you in school? Because Shira told me-!" Before Aki finished his sentence I interrupted him.

"Don't say her name...! And don't get close to her...! Never...!" I spoke with complete disgust and anger as I gave him the, honestly selfish, order not to have any contact with her.

"If this is your order I will obey it... But may I ask why?" Aki looked surprised at me.

"I dislike her." I answered shortly and noticed the diary on my pillow. I wanted Kuroko actually back. I want him to spend time with me as back then.

Aki sighed and I smirked suddenly:"If I tell you, will you take the mask off?"

Aki touched his mask and after a short time he nodded.

I didn't mean this "deal". I want him to take it off, once he feels himself easy enough to leave it out at me. This "deal" was a coward way of solving this mystery.

"It was just a joke... I don't want to force my way to making you take it off. Otherwise I would have given you the order to." I smiled honestly and he nodded.

"Thank you very much for your kindness." He bowed his head.

"Besides, did they make any progress about my kidnappers?" I asked and hoped that at least a small progress has been made, so that my hell called school wouldn't last so long.

"By now, not many, so I suppose we can't return soon." Aki looked at me.

"I see. When is the highest possibility that we can?" I asked again.

"Probably within the end of the school year? Maybe later?" He wondered as well, and I sighed.

"Too long with all those school balls and festivals and classes." I closed my eyes and calculated around how many times I would meet Shira again.

"Well, if you want, I can be your date at every ball, I can accompany you at every festival and in class I won't leave you either" Aki kissed the back of my hand.

"... And simply staying at home like this and you give me lessons about the history of the Kitsune, what I should know as a future heir, what the critics are for my future husband. Stuff like that." I suggested. Human history may be interesting but stuff in math like trigonometric function I would never need again in my life when I will return back to my village.

"You will study this soon enough. So don't ask me!" Aki walked angered off and I watched him till I heard the sound of the closing entrance door.

I ate a bit of the soup, drank a bit of the tea and took the diary again. So... Kuroko has helped me all the time... And he liked this fate huh...?

As I have been reading on, I smiled various times, because he was writing so many sweet things...

And I wanted to meet him again... I wanted him to be my bodyguard again. Aki was fine, really, but whenever I have the feeling we're getting closer, one of us withdrew himself and all the closeness was destroyed. How painful and annoying. Because I'm sure that if Aki would try to see how I feel with going to school, learning barely anything useful for my future life as a leader, he would understand why I dislike it so much...
