Chapter VI

"It looks really amazing on you..." He answered and I looked away.

"Don't think so. Too short. And it kinda shows that I'm a girl. I mean, my chest is more than obvious because of the shirt or blouse or however it's called and I still dislike the thought of going to a human school." I answered and he chuckled.

"Well, this is a school uniform, so I guess you will have to bear with it. And if one of the young men should try to get close to you, I will make sure you will be fine, ok?" He took my school bag and his and walked towards the door. "Are we ready to leave?"

"Yeah. Coming." I rolled my eyes and followed him. As we were walking on the street, I heard girls whisper around us.

"He's sweet. But why the mask? And is this his girlfriend?"

Me? His Girlfriend? Hah. I'd rather suicide than taking such a role in this world. It's not that I don't like him, just, he is fulfilling his mission as my bodyguard. I reminded myself of this tonight. All this caring for me, is actually just his job. My parents ordered him to do so, nothing more. Why did I tell him about my past anyway?

As we've been walking on I put on my headphones and started to listen to music, in order to numb myself for the whispers of the girl.

Our first destination was the secretary office in order to sign up, or at least to receive the acknowledgement of the school, that we will visit their torturing called "lessons".

"Here's a map of the school, and now follow your timetable and your English start is about to start in room 201." The secretary smiled and Aki nodded. "And the mask, take it off please." The secretary gave Aki a strict look.

"I'm sorry but I can't. I've a bad disease and so it is a protection from the bullying of other pupils towards me... The reason why we changed the school... The bullying from other pupils went too far... Till it didn't just injure me mentally, but I got beaten up after school... Every time I was alone..." His voice became a sad whisper and I did my best in order not to sigh nerved, because it was obviously all a lie in order to keep his mask on.

"Oh... Then you sure can keep the mask on. I'm sorry for reminding." The secretary turned towards her computer again and started to type something as we walked to the classroom 201.

We sat down in class, or rather said I sat in the back of the room down, right next to the window, and he sat next to me down.

"Don't you want to go to some other boys? For the integration?" I looked at him and he shook his head.

"No. Because I have the mission to watch you. Not some boys." He answered and gave me the English book.

As the teacher walked in, a young woman who seemed unable to quiet the class down and she smiled at us. "It looks like we have two new students here. Would you like to introduce yourselves?"

I stood up and the complete class looked at me and they whispered something among themselves.

"I'm Virginia Dragons and I'm 17 years old, I don't have any favorite subject and my hobbies are reading and listening to music." I sat down again and Aki stood up.

"I'm Aki Devaney. 18 years old. I like doing PE and my hobbies are listening to music as well and I enjoy playing basketball." All the girls sighed as they looked at him as he introduced himself.

We sat quietly around, pretending to listen to her wishes to get along in class with the other pupils.

The end of the school day was actually more horrible than the start. PE. The boys had one half of the hall and the girls the other half. As I was changing myself...
