This is a chapter where I kind of made it a bit unrealistic and kinda made it my own little twist. . . Enjoy!

THOMAS'S POV

We all sat and stared at each other. We were currently in the loft waiting for Tori to come up and talk to us about all this wicked stuff we need to know. We all straighter in our seats when we heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Tori walked in. She was wearing a dark blue t-shirt with a small pocket on it, black jeans with rips in the knees and her black combat boots. Her hair was just let down because I guess now that it's cut she can't do much with it.

She looks at us. Her eyes seem to darken.

"We need to find somewhere else to go." She starts.

"Why what's wrong with being here?" Minho asks.

"Nothing. I would stay here if I could but, it's too dangerous. We have a lot coming for us." She had a frown plastered across her face. "I don't know where we can go or what we can do but, I'm trying to get in contact with The Right Arm."

We all sat in silence trying to process everything she just said.

"What about Canada," I said breaking the silence.

"What about Canada?" Tori questioned.

"One of the first days I was here, you told me about how Canada might not be completely scorched. You said that only a part of it was scorched and that was it! What if there are people who can help us there? What if-" I was cut off by Tori.

"It's too dangerous." She shook her head.

"Yeah, but it might be our only chance out of here," I argue.

"Thomas, we don't know what's out there besides the cranks. It's too dangerous."

Minho scrunched up his eyebrows. "He might be right Tori if Canada has a chance of not being completely scorched we might all be saved."

Tori let out a big sigh before turning her back to us. "You guys don't understand."

"What don't we understand? We walked for miles to get here not to mention we've survived the cranks!" Newt smiles.

Tori turns back around while running a hand through her hair. "We've already tried getting to Canada!"

All of us went silent.

"Liam's brother didn't make it back. These things are too dangerous!" She exclaimed in frustration. "There are millions of things you don't understand, alright! End of discussion."

A lump started to build at the back of my throat as we all continued to look at Tori who was looking out the window. Her eyes watered. She lifted a hand to wipe her tears.

"He was only kid. Yet he was older than me. He tried to protect me but, got infected." She said quietly. "Turns out not everyone from our generation is immune."

"What was his name?" I asked.

"Jake."

The room fell silent again. Everybody fidgeted in their seats feeling uncomfortable.

"Anyways, I'm going to talk to Hunter and Liam about this and I'll meet you guys back here tomorrow at the same time."

She walked away leaving the four of us in a silent room.

"Thomas, I think your idea just might work," Newt said.

"Tori doesn't think so," I mumbled.

"I think she's just scared of losing one of us."
