No POV ♥
The days wore on, and Justin hasn't been more miserable. He was constantly thinking of Melani, though he did try to forget about her. It seemed impossible, but the more he pushed himself to forget about her, the less he thought about her. He went about, doing his job. Meeting new girls, DATING new girls. He went back to being the old player he used to be, and soon forgot all about Melani. But as for Melani's life... Well, it couldn't get any better. Cody was the best boyfriend she's ever had. Senior year was gonna start after this summer, and her happy self came back. Those short, lonely summer nights usually made her think of the previous summer she shared with Justin. Though she only thought about Justin during those nights, she missed him like crazy. She knew nothing about Justin's new attitude. It's now the first day of school, first day of senior year.

Melani's POV ♥
My alarm clock buzzes me awake from the sweet dream I'd just envisioned. Ugh. I didn't wanna get up, but hey, it's senior year. New opportunities. Prom. Everything. I blew a kiss at the teddy bear Cody gave me for my birthday, and hop out of bed to take a shower. I hummed "I'll Be" while washing my hair. Thoughts of Justin never faded from my head, but didn't occur often. And I'm SURE Justin forgot about me. He stopped talking about me in interviews and stuff, and didn't text or call me like he did before. I shook Justin thoughts out of my head and got out of the shower. Fresh. I laugh at how lame I was, but got dressed anyway. I got my bag and phone and jumped downstairs. "Good morning family!" I giggle, and take a poptart off a plate. Mom: "Morning sweetie." Me: "Hey Squirt." I laugh and ruffle up Alex's hair. Alex: "Hey! Watch it! I wanna look good for my first day in high school." I roll my eyes. Me: "Anyway, gotta go. Cody's out there. Bye mom, bye Squirt." I hug them and go outside. Cody: "Hey babe." He smiles and hugs me. Me: "Hi!" I giggle and peck his lips. Cody: "Aww, that's all I get?" He grins. Me: "Yep." He chuckles and opens the door. Cody: "Just get in, you teaser." I laugh and get into the passenger seat. We picked up Becca and Kyle before heading to school.

"WOO! We're seniors!" Becca announces once we step foot on campus. MariCris came running over to us. "MariCris!" Becca and I squealed and hugged our third Musketeer. MariCris: "Sup Shaggy." She nods her head up at Cody and laughs. Cody: "Hey Crackhead." I smiled at their weird friendship. They both changed each other's nicknames everyday. Something new everytime. Me: "Alright, weirdos, let's get to class." Becca rolls her eyes and laughs. Becca: "You're such a killjoy, Mels." She grins and links arms with MariCris and I. Cody walked next to me, his arm hooked around my waist. "Yeeeeeah buddy. Be jealous 'cause we're fucking sexy." MariCris winks at the guys who were staring. Man, I love her outgoing personality. We laugh and go to our lockers, which were luckily all close to each other. The locker next to mine had a paper taped to it that read "Reserved" I scoff and stare at it. Who would be so special that they got to have a special reservation for their locker? I bit my lip and turned as Becca called me over. MariCris: "Let's go Funky Junky." She laughs and pulls me towards our first class. Becca and Cody weren't in it. Sucks. But at least I had MariCris to keep my entertained. First days always went by fast. Before long, it was lunchtime and we all sat together. Cody: "Man it was so boring with you." I smile and lean my head on his shoulder. Me: "I know.. But thank god we have the last 3 classes together." Cody: "Yep." His arm slithers around my waist. Becca: "OMG. I totally forgot! We got another back to school dance." She laughs. But I don't see how that was funny. In fact, I almost wanted to cry, thinking of last year. Common Denominator always came to my mind when math was the subject. MariCris: "Well then we better go! I don't wanna miss ANYTHING this year." She giggled as Logan, her new boyfriend, came over. Ugh. Don't get me wrong, Logan was awesome. But he's a little too talkative. Cody: "Um... We'll just be.. Over there." He grabs my bag for me and goes anywhere but where Logan was. We went to an empty table. Me: "Thanks. You're a life saver." I laugh. Cody: "Eh, well he just talks too much." Me: "Yeah." I lean back on his shoulder, staring at my hands in my lap. Cody: "You okay?" Me: "Yeah. Just tired." He nods and leans down to kiss my forehead. Cody: "I never got my good morning kiss.." He laughs. Me: "Oh." He frowns. Cody: "There's something up. What's wrong, baby girl?" I sigh. Me: "Nothing, really. I'm fine, babe." Cody: "Okay.. But I'm here if you need to talk." I nod. The bell rings for lunch to end, and Cody and I walk out hand-in-hand. He walks me to my next class and hugs me. Cody: "See ya next period, babe." He grins and sneaks a little kiss before a teacher goes all "No PDA blah, blah, blah" Cody: "I cannot wait until I see you again." I laugh. Me: "It's only 50 minutes." Cody: "I know, but that's like.. A year in Codytime!" I smile and pat his head. Me: "You'll be alright." I get up on my tippy toes to peck his lips. Cody: "I'm expecting more after school." I laugh and push him towards his next class. Me: "Go. You'll be late." He smiles and walks backwards, almost bumping into a teacher. I giggle and wave at him. Cody: "I love you!" Instead of yelling it back, I used hand signals. Point to my eyes, make a heart sign, point to him, and make a peace sign. He laughs and waves one last time before going into class.
