I'll be there.
I replied to his message. I don't know his plans. But accepted his invitation anyway.
8:00 p.m
Is it worth it to continue this string I have with him? I don't even know what to call on this. Unattached something? Or maybe just something... unattached. Can you get the point? Neither I.
"Ara..." He breathed. And wave his hand.
I looked at my wrist to check the time. "I told you. Exact 8." And I pointed the long line on my watch and witnessed pointing on the last line indicating 60s to exact 8 pm.
"I'll show you something. Something I know would erase that straight line on your lips. And would change that straight line into curves." Pinched my both cheeks to form my lip half curved. And he giggled. "See? It's better when you smile. I hope this night will make a difference." And he laugh again.
I smiled. I couldn't help myself but to smile. Constant. I felt he just pulled out one needle on my chest out of those thousands. I felt a bit on the thing they called happiness. I don't know. Never been happy. What's happiness by the way?
Circus. He brought me to a circus.
The circus was in full blast. I can see twinkling lights everywhere. Striped tents with different colors. Glowing fireworks above the sky. It's been my first time to be on such wonderful place. It was like a dream, a fairytale I stopped believing a long time ago. Nevertheless, He made me believed in them again.
We entered on one of those tents and witnessed the featured circus performers doing tricks. Such as the acrobats, the magicians, cosplayers. It was such a delight. Everywhere. I can see different flashes coming from spotlights. I can smell popcorn and cotton candy heavy in the air. The world transformed suddenly into a better one when you enter circus. The dream you thought just dream vanishes and changes into a real one you'll find it hard to distinguish between the notion of reality.
We were both strolling inside the circus. Took a ride on a Ferris Wheel. Horror train. Octupus. Roller Coaster. The big boat. Many to mention. We also shared ice cream dipped with strawberry syrup scattered with mallows. We were oblivious on the people around us. We looked as if we were the only ones existing on that fairytale.. that we're both on the same dream. He was laughing so hard. I was twirling in delight as well. One thing tapped my mind on the moment: We were having the time of our lives.
We stopped as we saw the performers showcasing an amazing tricks. Claps was in the air. I looked beside me as I notice him staring at me. I smiled. Peripheral vision is one of girl's talent I believed.
Every tents was full of surprises. There are magicians who played tricks. Snow flakes on others. Selling of souvenirs, and so forth.
We watched everything on the circus has to offer. We stayed despite the time. Then, there was a pause in the moment as we slowly saw a tree. Not just a normal tree we see everyday. It was a tree full of glowing fireflies. Some of those were hovering on the air. I immediately took my ballpen and sticky note out of my bag. It's my constant belief that when the time comes and I will be able to see a tree full of fireflies..I should write my wish and let the fireflies grant them on time.
After, he grabbed my hand and brought me to a place he said that, that place is where he always confide whenever he experienced shortcomings. It was a lake. A lake that is surrounded by grass ang looked unwanted wear. We lie down on it and waited for the sun to rise. It was romantic. After an hour, an orange light started to showed up and lit our faces.
He pulled me close to him to let him sleep while we were waiting for the sun to light the whole city. I know he could hear my heart as it beats loudly like a staccato of a drum.
And He falls asleep.
4:00 a.m
I woke up having the most wonderful dream I thought just a dream. But it's not. As I opened my eyes. I saw Nick. Beside me. Sleeping. I extend the time a little bit longer to look on his face. It was like looking on my dream guy. I know he's the one I've been wishing for so long. The man who will help me escape on my nightmares. A man who would take away all the grieves embedded on my heart. He's my hope.
An ant bit me and I was back by a blindside to my normal senses. And so I started waking him up also. Shook him till he finally woke up. And told him to hurry up.
"What's the matter Ara?"
"Come." I said and stood up and pulled him to my feet. He raised an eyebrow when I pulled him closer to me and let my arms encircle to his neck. "Let's dance." I added.
And so Nick put his hand on my waist and reluctantly swayed to the melody only us could hear. The place altered. The sky turned in different colors like a rainbow and the romantic moment was came to be showered by droplets of water coming from the sky. It was magical. Lightnings turned the whole sky sprayed with flames; flames of affection and tenderness.
Having this moment is something worth cherishing for both of us. I knew it. I knew this would make a change. A change that will forever have the greatest and the most enchanting impact on me.
