Love & Life (Chapter. 25)

*April & Beth*

"So here we are shopping for our upcoming babies!" Beth exclaimed.

"I know! I hope this works out better than last time. I hope seeing as they are both girls that they can grow up being best friends instead of just cousins." I said with a smile.

"Both girls? You're having a girl? Awesome! Do you know what you're naming her yet?" Beth asked.

"Why yes, yes I do. But you must tell me what you're naming yours first. Did you get your way? Will I be meeting Lilian Rose Beverly that I will be calling Lily?" I asked.

"Yes Lilian Rose will be her name! I'm so excited. I am even excited to pick out clothes for her." Beth said with a smile.

"So are you nervous to have three young children at the same time?" I asked curiously.

"Well I am but I'm not at the same time. I mean Bentley just turned three. Carter will be a year old next month. So I am thinking it will be a lot of work but of course all worth it!" Beth responded.

"But are you still going to work as a full time publisher?" I asked curiously.

"Yes I am planning to be a mom of three and work full time. But I think I will take a longer maternity leave this time. So I can get well adjusted to three kids." She admitted.

"I think that is a great idea." I replied.

"So now what are you naming your little girl?" Beth asked.

"I am naming her Sawyer Jayde Beverly." I answered.

"That's so cute! I'm pretty happy you didn't give her Scott's last name. I had a fear you would." Beth admitted.

"Oh no I wouldn't do that. She doesn't deserve the name of someone who wants no part of her life. So she will be a Beverly." I said with a smile.

"So how is everything going with the nursery and stuff? Do you need help? If so Wes and I can help."

"Everything is great. I already have her nursery finished. Lance told me he is ready to meet her. He said he prays every night he actually gets to meet her unlike Lane. When he said that to me I hugged him tightly and cried." I admitted.

"Wow, I think I would have too!"

*A few months later*

"It is so nice to meet you gorgeous! I will call you Lily. You have really great parents, trust me. You have a wonderful brother and sister as well! I can't wait for you to meet Lance. In a few months I'll have my little girl." I said while looking into the eyes of my newborn niece.

"April can we talk for a minute?"

I looked up to see Leo standing there looking at me.

"Yeah sure just let me hand Lily back."

We walked into the hospital hallway. I took a deep breath.

"April the more I think about it I feel we ended on a bad note. I feel it was wrong to end the way we did. I feel bad that what happened with Lane tore us apart completely. That is a time where we were supposed to be supporting each other. But instead we were angry with each other. April I have loved you since the day we met. Even now that has changed. I figured out that that was the reason I hated Scott so much. It killed me to see you with someone else. I wanted to be him the whole time. I only want me with you. We got married for a reason. We got divorced for a dumb reason."

"Leo I feel the same way. But what exactly are you trying to get out of this conversation? I mean I will have a baby in a few months that will take up a majority of my time. I won't be able to work on things with you. I couldn't ask you to step up and be Sawyer's father." I answered.

"That's what you don't understand. If I'm with you I want everything that comes with you. I'll be there for Sawyer as if she's mine. I want to be with you again. I won't let you go again. I want to be happy again. I realized that I'm not happy without you. There is no me without you." Leo said.

I said nothing. I fought my tears. I hugged him so tightly.

Once I got myself together I finally spoke while still hugging him.

"Leo I have waited my whole life to get this feeling. I have never felt so wanted. If you're serious than I will give this another try." I said.

"I'm more serious than you could ever imagine." Leo said.

"Well finally! I've been waiting for this forever."

We both turned to see Wes leaning against the door with his arms crossed and a big smile.
