Dear Diary,
I know I'm going to sound paranoid and stupid for writing this but I think someone is watching me. Or the flat. It has been a couple of weeks since the incident with one of Shane's 'co-workers' and he hasn't seemed himself lately. We agreed not to talk about what happned to Ellie or anyone but Shane is always working at night and then at the garage a couple of days a week during the day. I'm worried about him and I'm scared to go to sleep at night without him with me. But this feeling of someone watching me has started recently, when I told Shane he said to me that it was probably me being overtired. I think he's probably right but I'm not completely sure. I have to go to sleep again or at least try.
Robin.
Robin woke to the alram she had sent on her phone, it was an annoying ringtone so she would have to wake up. She yawned and quickly changed out of her joggers and t-shirt into her scruffy jeans and a sweatshirt. Robin walked to the kitchen and met Shane who was sprawled across the sofa in the living room fast asleep. She shook her head at him and made herself breakfast, she had a morning shift today, and tried to eat it as quickly as possible to finish getting ready and leave the flat on time. She didn't have to worry about Shane not being able to leave they managed to get him a key for himself so he didn't have to leave at the same time as Robin.
She tied her apron and turned to face the cafe with a broad smile on her face. Robin had at first disliked the strong smell of coffee from the cafe, but when she needed waking up the smell seemed to do the job. She arranged the little cakes in the shelves so they were neat and tidy for the customers and then waited behind the counter for the first customer.
Cassandra had given Robin more freedom slowly but still kept around just to help her out or when the lunchtime rush came in. Robin felt comfortable with the customers who seemed happy enough to wait, while she took her time to make their order, and have a chat with the other customers. Unfortunately one customer did not appreciate this and it was the first time Cassandra had to leave Robin on her own while she nipped out to collect a parcel.
Robin stood at the counter the cafe was quiet with a buzz of chatter. She was looking out the window contemplating what she was going to do after work, she hadn't done much exploring since she moved into the flat so she thought she might go for a walk after her shift before she went back home. She saw the door open and a man dressed in a very smart grey suit. Robin smiled as she took him in, he seemed like someone who is very serious and probably worked in an office. She confirmed this assumption when the man didn't smile once when he walked up to the counter.
"Hello what can I get?" Robin said in her most polite and happy voice which she had developed over the weeks from working there.
"Cappuccino to go," he said in a sharp tone which made Robin want to say 'sorry we don't serve that here' but she resisted and kept the smile on her face. She moved to the coffee machine and placed the cup from the 'to go' pile and placed it on the board she studied the machine to find what she needed when she heard the man sigh. She set the machine and waited for the coffee to finish pouring before she moved on. "Are you going to take all day?" The man snapped and Robin looked at him startled.
"I-I-I'm sorry." Robin stuttered looking back at the cup and prepared the milk to make it frothy. The man sighed angrily again and Robin just wanted to hide. When the milk was ready she added it to the cup and turned to the man. "Did you want any chocolate dusting with your cappacino or would you like to try one of our different flavours?" Robin asked with a smile.
"Is this some joke? Do I look like a man who has the time to choose what he want's on his Coffee!!" The man shouted, Robin looked at him aware she probably seemed terrified when she spoke.
