Chapter 20

Roxy's POV

I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and I'm huge! I'm so scared for the birth... am I even gonna be a good mother... today we are having a family barbecue. Calum went to the supermarket to buy some things and we decorated the garden. Everybody is heavily pregnant right now and honestly I can't wait for the babies to come now... I'm sick & tired of not getting any sleep. Nicole has had 2 false alarms & I have had 1. We have everything sorted now all we need is the babies. Uncle Ratliff starts the barbecue and nearly sets the garden on fire... great...

Once the barbecue is finished it's quite late and we are all tired. We go to bed and before I know it I'm asleep.

I wake up at 3:27AM and I'm craving 'Get Shaved', I sneak downstairs and grab my coat. As I'm about to walk outside I hear somebody clear their throat. I turn around and see Uncle Ratliff standing there .

"And where do you think your going young lady?..."- Ratliff

"To the 24/7 'Get Shaved'?"- Roxy

"Cravings?"-Ratliff

"Yeah..."-Roxy

"Get in the car..."-Ratliff

"Your the best uncle ever!"-Roxy

He smiles before we get into the car and drive.

When we order we go back to the car and sit there talking. I feel something in my stomach and I get a strange feeling. Just then my water breaks all over Ratliff's car...

"Oh My Gosh! I'm So Sorry Uncle Ratliff! I Didn't Mean To!"-Roxy

"Roxy, it's fine... We need to get you to the hospital... it's time"- Ratliff

He drives to the hospital and carries me in bridal style. He places me in a wheelchair and I'm escorted into a room. The midwife examines me and before I know it, it's time to push.

Uncle Ratliff holds my hand the whole way through.

"Uncle Ratliff I'm scared..."-Roxy

"It's okay honey... just breathe... everything's gonna be okay, I'm here!"- Ratliff

"Thanks Uncle Ratliff. I love you..."- Roxy

"I love you too sweetie"-Ratliff

He kisses my forehead and I begin pushing.

"1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 and again... 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10, last one... 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10"- Dr Jensen

I hear crying and Uncle Ratliff is smiling at me, he is also crying.

"It's A Boy!"-Dr Jensen

Uncle Ratliff cuts the cord and they clean the baby up.

Now it's time to push the other baby out...

"1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 and again 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 one last time 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10"- Dr Jensen

I hear the cries of the second baby and I look over to Uncle Ratliff who is crying even more.

"It's A Girl!"- Dr Jensen

Uncle Ratliff cuts the cord again and she is taken to be cleaned up.

"Wow... you did it... you done amazing! They're beautiful!"-Ratliff

I cry and the girl gets placed into my arms and the boy gets placed into Uncle Ratliff's arms.

"I'm your mummy, and this is your crazy Uncle Ratliff!"-Roxy

"What are you gonna name them?"-Ratliff

"Wanna help me?"-Roxy

"Sure!"-Ratliff

"Great, okay so for the girl..."-Roxy

"Okay, so how about Alexis? I really like that name... It suits her because she looks like a princess... just like her mummy... Princess Alexis?"-Ratliff

"That's an amazing name... and for a boy I like the name Dylan... what do you think?"-Roxy

"It's Perfect... So, Dylan & Alexis Lynch?"-Ratliff

"Yeah... and for middle names I like... Lee & Mary After you and Auntie Rydel?"-Roxy

"Dylan Lee Lynch & Alexis Mary Lynch... I love them!"-Ratliff

The doctors take my babies away for some tests and I start to feel tired. All of a sudden I feel strange before blackness takes over me, the last thing I hear is Uncle Ratliff's screams.
