Chapter 18

Roxy's POV

Today I am having a lazy day. I was up all night as the babies were kicking me non stop. I grab some sweatpants and a tank top. After I'm changed I go downstairs. Nobody else is in apart from uncle Ratliff. Everybody else went out. Uncle Ratliff is sick. When I get downstairs I sit on the sofa next to Uncle Ratliff.

"Hey Sweetie, how are you?"-Ratliff

"I'm okay, just really tired and I don't feel to good, how are you?"- Roxy

"I'm feeling a tiny bit better, still sick, but getting better"-Ratliff

"That's good!"-Roxy

I grab a load of food and put on 'The Vow". I look over at Uncle Ratliff and see him wiping tears away. I start laughing. When I start watching the film again I start crying... stupid hormones.

When the film is over I run to the bathroom quickly. I feel pains in my stomach as I go to the bathroom. When I look down all I see is blood. I scream and begin panicking, I put a pad in my underwear and run downstairs.

"RATLIFF! HELP ME!"-Roxy

"Rox? What's wrong? Are you okay?"-Ratliff

"I'm bleeding and I have really bad pains, I don't know what to do, I need to go to the hospital!"-Roxy

He picked me up bridal style and ran to his car, he put me in the passengers seat and began driving to the hospital. When we got there he picked me up again and ran me in, the nurses ran to me with a wheelchair and took me to a room, they then did tests and I waited anxiously. Uncle Ratliff held my hand the while time. When the doctor arrived she looked at her clipboard and then to me.

"Well Miss Lynch, it seems the reason of the bleeding is due to your cervix stretching, because of your age your body was tiny and being pregnant with twins means your cervix has to make room for the babies to be born, there's nothing to worry about, I can give you an ultrasound if it reassure you?"-Dr Jensen

I nod and she gets the machine.

She places the cold gel on my bare stomach and I giggle, uncle Ratliff chuckles and we look at the screen.

My twins were on the screen and I couldn't help but cry. She printed off some pictures and we were dismissed. When we got back to the car Ratliff took us to 'Menchies'. We ordered then left. When we got home we sat back on the sofa and started watching 'Grown Ups'. I thanked him for taking me to the hospital and then I fell asleep.

When I woke up I was thirsty so I went to the kitchen and got a glass of water. I was craving Pickled Onion & Chocolate, it may sound gross but hey! I'm a pregnant woman, I'm allowed to eat crazy things!

I melt the chocolate and grab the jar of pickled onions, I sit by Ratliff again until he wakes up. Just then everybody came barging through the door. Riley ran up to me and hugged me, I hug her back and kiss her forehead whilst Skylar jumps on Ratliff trying to wake him up. I laugh at them before making my way into the kitchen. I tell everybody about today and my trip to the hospital. They all worry until I get to the end. My mum just kisses my forehead and hugs me, which is quite hard as we have massive bumps in the way. Just then Raini, Nicole and Rydel joins the hug and we burst out crying.... Gosh I hate these hormones.

A little while after we all gather round the table as we enjoy our dinner. Everybody is around us laughing and having fun. When we finish dinner we end up having a family game night, we play monopoly which last for hours until everybody was out... Auntie Rydel won! Soon after we went to bed and I fell into a deep sleep.
