Though I'm Still too lazy to fix it, of course . Also I met a drunk guy named Mitchell on my road trip, he was a nice guy. ))***
~ Vincent's POV ~
I had a lot of time after that to think of course in that lonely room, and the insanity that'd been sparked inside me took its toll.
I was mentally trying to find any possible ways out of my situation. I couldn't die, I just didn't want too. I just couldn't. I just couldn't...
Eventually, in the frustration caused by the fact there might be no possible way out, I flipped out and jerked on my restraints, banging around as I let out a wordless cry into the nothingness.
"Why... Does.. It always... Have to be... Me?!..." I cried, scowling as I continued jerking on the restraints.
Suddenly, there was a loud crack.
I sniffled and glanced up, and sure enough I'd jerked a crack in the top of the right bedpost.
Right below where my restraint on my right hand was hooked.
So, of course, naturally, I started trying in every way possible to knock it off or at least knock it looser. I got into a few awkward positions trying to do this, hit probably every bone in my body on that darned bed or something around it at some point, but, in the end, I finally knocked it off.
I quickly jerked it down, smirking in satisfaction, then lifted my wrist up so my other hand could pull it loose from the top of the bedpost. I untied my other hand and I was quickly off, out the door and down the hallway.
I wasn't nearly as cautious as I should've been, though. But the excitement just caused me to do dumb and crazy things. In something of a miracle, though, I made it around to a screen door in the back of the building without being caught.
I pushed it open, breathing in the fresh air as I looked out of the yard it had guarded. The winter snow was still falling, and somehow it cause a single flash in my memory of the day I'd been caught by these people but I shook it away.
Just as I was about to step outside, I felt someone grab me by my shoulder.
I went completely stiff.
"Hmm. Maybe you're not as foolish as I thought, Vincent.."
