((Okay, seriously, sorry for the break/being a lazy butthole. I understand if I am not forgiven))

~Vincent's POV~
I had lost all hope.
I was going to die.
Slowly.
Painfully.
And I just didn't seem to care anymore.
My wrists were bruised from yanking on my restraints so much. My leg ached badly from that encounter with these imbeciles' dog. My head was practically spinning, and I just felt sick to my stomach.
I just wanted to go home.
Home to (Y/N).
But in truth, I knew only a miracle could save me.

~Fritz's POV~"Jeremy, calm down-"
"N-no! I can't, Fritz! I just can't!" The poor boy was shaking, his breathing jagged and short as we sat there, me holding him close as I tried to calm him down.
I sighed. "Scott, have you figured out anything at all!? Jerebear here is about to take a heart attack."
"I-I don't wanna go back... There.." Jeremy mumbled, curling up tighter.
"We don't know if we'll have to yet, for God's sakes-"
Of course, just in time to ruin that poor child's hopes and dreams, (Y/N) came bursting through the front door.
"Scott!? Get your lazy butt in here!!!" She yelled. This happened to be able to help her succeed in doing what I'd Ben trying to do for the past fifteen minutes, which was dragging Scott out of the other room.
"I came as quick as I heard." she mumbled.
"Yeah, we can see that," I huffed bitterly, earning a cold glare. I shut my mouth after that.
"Look, (Y/N), I'm still trying to look into-"
"I don't care. If there's even a chance Vincent's in there, we're going. Pack your bags, losers, and get in the car." she snapped. I sighed.
"Oh no," Jeremy managed, curling up tighter. I looked at him with sympathy.
"And what's up with him?" (Y/N) asked, glancing at Jeremy.
"He's uh... Anxious. Really, really anxious. He really doesn't want to go."
She stared at him for a minute, seeming to be rethinking what she'd said previously. "Well... You don't have to go if you don't want to, Jere..."
"But I can't let you guys go alone." He squeaked. "What kind of e-excuse for a fr-friend would I be th-then...?"
I looked at her.
"...well we're going then. Get in the car, all of you."
"Seriously, (Y/N), this bossing us around is getting out of hand!" Scott finally snapped. There was silence as (Y/N) lifted her gaze to glare at him.
"I get it," he growled, "you lost Vincent. He's been gone for longer than ever before, and your scared but that doesn't mean you can just push us around like we're your servants! If we go now we're gonna die, (Y/N). You know how those people are; don't you remember!? Besides, they might not even have him!!"
She looked at Scott in silence for a long moment.
"They have him." she finally answered bitterly. "They're the only people who would've taken him. And I don't care about the rest of your crap, Scott. We're leaving. Right now." After she was done with her bitter speech she walked back outside, slamming the door as she went. She was visible through the windows, walking to her car.
"That was an awful lot of nerve, Scotty." I murmured. "What's got you so fed up?"
"That she's pushed us around every day since he was kidnapped." He growled, storming off to go get a few of his things.
I looked at Jeremy. I stood up, then helped him up.
The two of us walked to the front door, and just as I reached for the doorknob, he broke the silence.
"Fritz?"
"Yeah?"
"...What if we die?"
I was silent for a long moment.
"I don't know, Jere," I finally answered, "I don't know."
Then I pulled open the door.
