Lex
I arrived to school at the usual time and slinked my way to my locker, hoping I wouldn't see Ryker. Last night was . . . wow. Just wow. I have no other way to even put it. The thought of how he'd pinned me to the bed had butterflies in my stomach and my blushing. Why was I blushing? I didn't even like him, or did I? Shut up! If course not! Look who we're talking about here! Yeah, but he nearly kissed you! I stood arguing with myself, staring blankly at my open locker.
"Lex!" I swear to all that is holy, I nearly jumped right out of my too tight clothing. My heart skipped a beat and I gasped, sucking in so hard I almost sucked all the oxygen out of the hallway. Seriously. Kids should have passed out and hit the floor. "Whadd up, yo." Lance asked grinning widely. One look at that crooked grin and I knew he'd saw me jump.
"Estúpido. Freaking. Idiot!" I growled at him hoping I sounded as menacing as I thought I did. Ashton chuckled at his side at my insult.
"Hey, hey prima. Take-a-easy."
"Don't you prima, me." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest, rolling my tongue skillfully over the word prima. It was a spanish word that meant cousin and it was quite fun to say I had to admit. He rolled his eyes at my glare and stepped forward, ruffling my hair. "Aye! No! Not mí pelo!" I shrieked, slapping his hand away.
"No worries lil prima." He said, perfectly rolling his tongue over prima. "You still look cute." He grinned widely down at me.
"Little?! Your the same age as me!" I yelled, ignoring his comment about being 'cute.'
"Ah, but, you are still very much shorter than me." He said with a wink. "And I do believe it will alwayss be that way."
"Ughhh." I groaned. "Shut uppp." I whined childishly at him. Lance began to laugh and Ashton's quiet chuckling turned to loud throaty laughter as well. Trying to ignore their stupid laughter, I turned around to my locker. Looking in my small, magnetic mirror that hung there, I desperately tried to fix my hair.
"Oh come on, Lex! You look jus' fine!" Lance grumbled before slamming my locker door, effectively interrupting my attempt to tame my hair. He then proceeded to grab my hand and pull me down the hall toward our first class. I lost sight of Ashton but I could hear his soft laughter behind us so, I knew he was close.
"Laaaaance." I protested childishly yet again as he continued to tug me down the hall.
"Now Lexington, we don't wanna be late fo history do we?" He asked like he was talking to a four year old. Okay so I deserved that one, I had just been the one whining.
"I'm coming alright?!" I grumbled reluctantly in response. His only answer was to chuckle some more. Ughhh. Dang this kid and his stupid habit of laughing at my expense.
Upon entering our first period classroom, Lance finally let my hand drop. We plopped down at our desks in the back of the room as usual. Lance, and I sat right next to each other and Ashton sat directly in front of Lance, which was diagonal to me. I was very thankful for my seat, after all they were my two only friends in this entire school. Well, I guess Max and Luke counted too because I ate lunch with them as well, and they were part of the "gang." I just wasn't as close to them as I was to Lance and Ashton.
"Sooooo . . Lex." Lance looked over at me and trailed suspiciously.
"Uh . . yeah?" I asked uncertainly. I watched Ashton turn curiously in his seat to listen as well. Looking back to Lance, I waited for the question I knew was coming. I'd been dreading it all morning and that is one of the many reasons I was slinking around earlier. I wasn't necessarily avoiding him but I was hoping not to be
