I slowly perched onto the stool next to him, studying his features that seemed to have changed over the four years. He'd lost a bit of puppy fat, I wasn't gonna lie. His jaw seemed more defined now, but of course, it was harder to see it now that there was a curtain of raven hair covering 68% of his face.

Staring at him for a few more moments, I cautiously greeted him with a soft voice.

"Hey, Gee..." I murmured, but he ignored me, despite the fact that he didn't have either of his earphones in his ears. He just continued on his sketch, hunched over the sketch pad and making quick, angry strokes on the master piece in front of him. I stared down at it, interested in what he was drawing.

It was some sort of comic book hero thing, by the looks of it. It was actually pretty awesome, and I recognised it as one of the hero's in the comics we used to read when we were kids. It looked like the character exactly, and I'm not actually shitting you, it was probably better than the illustration of the actual superhero from the comic itself. That's how good it was.

"Gerard," I rolled my eyes a little, nudging him gently so it was enough to get his attention but to not make him jolt his arm forwards and ruin his drawing. But once again, he completely ignored me.

"I wouldn't bother him, if I were you," A soft voice murmured in front of me. I glanced up at saw a friendly looking girl with designer thick rimmed glasses on her face. Her hair was a soft blonde, cut short, and she had a small tan. She seemed generally nice from her appearance.

"Why not?" I replied back, confused. Who was this girl? Was she close to Gerard?

She shrugged. "He talks to nobody, so there's no point wasting your time, believe me; I've tried. He only talks to his friends Bob and Ray, and maybe his little brother Mikey. My name's Nicole, but you can call me Nikki, Nick, NiNi or whatever you like." She pulled out her hand for me to shake. I took her hand and shook it, murmuring a response.

"Uh, how come? And my name's Helena, but you can call me Helli, Hell, Hells, Lena, Hellsbells or whatever you can really think of, I guess."

She sighed. "Awesome! Uh, and I'm not sure. He just sits there and broods...uh, no offence, Gerard." She amended, but he didn't bother to look up. "Anyways, where are you from?"

"Wisonsin, but I used to live here four years ago but I moved away to live with my grandma for a while," I explained.

"Oh, right, cool. How come you're back?"

I smiled. "Well, I started Belleville High, so why not graduate here?" I shrugged. She smiled back and raised her eyebrows.

"You started 9th grade here? Woah, you must've left before I started then..." She murmured. I nodded and she continued. "Why'd you move away?"

I waved her off. "It's too much of a long story," I muttered. "I'll tell you one day if you haven't already been told," I replied.

"Oh, okay. Uh, do you mind if I see your schedule? I'd like to see if you've got any other classes with me."

"Sure," I replied, pulling out my schedule from my backpack and handing her it. She took it and scanned it over, grinning.

"Ah, you have everything with me besides Math. Uh, I think you have everything with Gerard though," She explained, handing back the sheet of paper. I threw a glance at Gerard and smirked.

"Awesome," I grinned. Nicole eyed Gerard for a few seconds before turning her attention back to me.

"Do you guys know each other?" She asked. I opened my mouth to speak, but to my surprise, Gerard cut in.
