The next morning I got dressed and covered my bruises the best I could and felt him grab my neck and whimpered in pain. "Our friends are coming over and if I see you flirting with any of them you're gonna regret it slut. You got it?" He asked in a threatening tone. "Yes,yes I promise. Please don't hurt me." I said whimpering. I felt him release me and I finished getting ready. I was cooking lunch when I heard the doorbell and heard the boys walk in. "Aye Rook! Baby bro how's it going?" Kells asked. "It's going good K, Kabby's in the kitchen cooking lunch." Rook said leading him and the boys to the media room to watch the football game. I must have been to busy cooking to notice Kells was standing in the doorway because I turned around and there he was smiling...God I love that smile. "Hey Kabby. You look beautiful today." He said giving me a hug. I hugged him back through the pain. "Hey you okay? Babygirl I heard you wince when I tried to hug you." He said concerned. I had to lie,no one could ever know. "Oh yeah I'm fine, just a bad stomach ache." I lied. "Aww poor angel you'll feel better once you get a nice meal in there." He said with a smile and gave me a friendly kiss on the cheek. I blushed but quickly turned away when I noticed rook was there in the doorway giving me a death glare. After the boys left I prepared for his wrath and it came. After he was done, he ran me a very hot bath that made the pain even more excruciating and more painful then the last beating. He even had to carry me to the bed because it hurt so much to even stand. In the morning Mrs.Hemming came by to see if everything was alright because she heard screaming. Rook and I gave her smiles and played the happy couple role and assured her that nothing was wrong. When we got back inside he threw me into the bedroom and locked me in. I cried myself to sleep until I heard the door unlock. "Get downstairs and make dinner. My parents are coming over and I want this house to be perfect." He said. I nodded and heard the door close as I looked at the picture of Rook and I on our wedding day and saw the words "The Perfect Couple" above us. That's what everyone thought and that's all their gonna see.
