i walk around the backstage feeling very very nervous , i wanted to join this talent show since forever but i don't the guts to sign thankfully (y/n) did but i'm not ready . 

in 15 minutes it's gonna be my turn , i've seen some of the contestants and they were so perfect . "mendes , " i heard my teacher yelled . " yes ?" i ask " you're up next . cause unfortunately 3 people cancelled their performances . 

i sigh and grab my guitar . the seats were packed up with students but i can still see (y/n) figure , waving at me like she's crazy . well she is but not that 'crazy' . 

"hey-y my name is Shawn Mendes , and i'm going to sing Drop In the Ocean , hope you enjoy it." i begin strumming my black guitar . i start singing it shyly . (y/n) still watching me like i'm a celebrity or something .

after i sing it (y/n) gives me a standing applause and she screams which makes me blush. the judges seem to hate it i think  . i walk backstage and (y/n) is already there . 

she hugs me saying "shawn you were amazing " as she tears u a bit. "hey don't cry and thanks for supporting me and secretly signing me to this talent show , want to get some lunch i'm sooooo hungry " i said dragging the O

"let's go then mendes ." she says , holding my hand . seriously i think we should be a couple . we'd be so cute together and everybody is going to be super jealous . 

we go to this cafe near by school they said it's new so i have to try , the menu is unique but i don't think (y/n) is going to like it . " do you want to eat here ? or SUSHI?!" i said " SUSHI EH? PAY ME KAY? LETS GOOO" she says , being so cheerful . 

Nakashimura Sushi is only a few blocks away , (y/n) loves to eat there , alone . cause i've always hated sushi and i don't know what happened today but i just want us two to feel like we're a couple . i just love her  so much but she likes another guy . everytime she asks me to come to her house and chat about crushes ,  i always hope that my name is the one she's going to say . but it never happen , and will never happen .

"shawn , sushi or sashimi ? "she suddenly asks me " uh-oh i don't know i don't like sushi and whatever " i said , great job shawn that's going to break her heart . " i'll just pick for you , find a seat" she says . i take a sit infront of the counter and (y/n) comes with trays of sushi and stuff

i try to pick one with my hand but (y/n) immediately slap my hand " ouch , what was that for? i'm trying to eat this sushi i hate ." i said , her eyes grew even bigger " first , you can't not like sushi . second , use chopsticks please . be japan-ish " she says , passing me white chopsticks . 

"how to use this? oh my god . i only want to eat this freaking sushi and it took so long." i complain , she just laughs and show me how to use it , she positions my hand so i can use it and man i don't know what is happening to me but i'm starstrucked right now , the way she grabs my hand. i've never felt this weird before . it was a normal thing . come on shawn wake up ,don't dream .

"shawn? peter? are you alive? TELL ME YOU'RE NOT DEAD " (y/n) says as she looks at me directly in the eyes , so i was day dreaming . "uh yeah i am , does this sushi taste good or-?" i'm trying to finish my sentence but it looks like (y/n) is half way through finishing that plate " yeah?" she says , mouthful of sushi . i laughed and fix her face ." thanks shawnie , btw you just have to pick it up , open your mouth and swallow it . LOL" she says . she's so funny GOD HELP ME .IS THIS WHY YOU SENT HER FOR ME ?THANKS GOD. 

i bite abit of the sushi and it tastes great ! i underestimated sushi. "IT'S SO GOOD (Y/N)! " i said " of course it does , i told you 1000000 times boy" she says , slightly laughing .

what a great day you two are having ? being so couple ish and all. so this is the first time you guys hang out as a 'couple' cross that 'friends' . this is the day when shawn finds out that he likes you , that he has a crush on you . 

so much more is on the way .
