Saturday was my favorite day. I got to sleep in late, read a good book and just generally have time for myself. I video chatted with my family and friends. When I was talking to my best friend, she sent me an article about how Bayern Munich was now the most followed team on social media.
-Good job, Audrey!
-Thanks, Nancy! It's so exhausting, but worth it! This is my dream job.
-And you're doing quite well. But can I be selfish and say I want you here.
-I miss you, too! You should come visit – I'd introduce you to the players.
-Did you meet any of them?
-Yeah, I have – Thomas, Philipp, Manuel, Mesut...
-Did you faint when you saw them?
-Oh, come on! I'm not that star stuck. Though I have to say they are all handsome in person.
-Especially Thomas?
-Why is everyone teasing me about him?
-Because they can sense your crush on him.
-Nancy! I don't have one – I'm still thinking about...
-Michael? Come on, Audrey – you need to move on. And if they're teasing you about Thomas, there must be something – blond hair, blue eyes?
-Yeah, I know he's my type. But I think it's better if I just focus on my work.
-You know best, Audrey. But promise me that you'll keep an open mind to dating?
-I promise. Enough about me, what's going on with you? Are the students listening to you?
-Of course, but now I know how hard it is to be a teacher. It's very time-consuming. But when someone asks you something and they understand it after you explain – it's just an amazing feeling.
-Teaching is a noble profession. I'm so happy for you, Nancy! I bet you're the best teacher there. And the prettiest, if you ask me or the boys.
-Haha, very funny!
-Well it's true – you have beauty and brains! The others should take notes from you.
-Thanks, Audrey! Well, I have to go grade papers, so I'll see you later.
-Good luck, Nancy. And text me when you're free. I miss you.
-Miss you, too! Well bye!
-Bye, Nancy.
As soon as I closed my Skype, I saw a friend request on Facebook. I wondered who would add me and then I saw this weird profile – no picture and only initials for a name. But with the friend request there was a message:
"Hey, Audrey! It's me Thomas and my super-secret profile."
"Oh yeah? Prove it's you!"
"I found better cupcakes than the ones in that café."
"I don't believe you!"
"Well, if you don't have anything planned for later today – I'd love to show you."
"Okay, when?"
"How about after an hour? I'm sending you the address."
I quickly glanced at the address and it turned out it was 10 minutes away from my place.
"Okay, see you after an hour!"
"Aren't you going to accept my friend request?"
"Alright. See you in an hour!"
