-Thomas! Wait! – I yelled trying to catch up.
-What?! – He snapped, turning around.
-Please, calm down and hear me out. – I was already shaking.
-Audrey, I don't get you. You seem so distant with me but with Philipp it's all good. Why are you torturing me? – He said and scratched the back of his head.
-I'm not, Thomas. – I hiccupped because of the alcohol. – I don't want to talk to you in this state. When I drink I become too honest.
-Audrey, tell me what's going on! You said that you trusted me – so you shouldn't be afraid to tell me. What, do you like Philipp?
The moment that sentence left his lips, I started giggling. Now, he looked even more confused.
-Thomas, that would be weird considering that I love you.
How the hell did that come out? I put my hand on my mouth but I knew it was too late.
-What? Audrey you...love me? – He looked shocked. But then he came closer and took my palm from my mouth and intertwined his fingers in mine.
-I totally understand if you say I'm crazy and all. – I started talking with a fast pace, waiting for the heartbreak moment. I closed my eyes, hoping that at least he won't see the humiliation.
-Audrey, look at me. Come on, open your eyes.
I really didn't want to but I couldn't say no to Thomas. Instead of a shocked look, he was smiling at me and looked at me sweetly.
-How many times do I have to tell you not to feel embarrassed around me? And for the record I love you, too. – He said whispering in my ear. Then he put his hand on my face and I could feel the heat from it. My cheeks were burning – I couldn't quite believe what was happening. Then he leaned in and kissed me gently.
This kiss was different than all the others. It had something more to it...something I still can't quite explain. I was still processing that Thomas loves me. He said it...like it was nothing, like it came naturally. Is that why Philipp smiled? Had he known all along? Oh, that sneaky captain – there he goes again plotting matchmaking plans.
-Audrey, I want to know what goes on in that mind of yours. Seriously, when Jane was singing your look made me nervous. I never saw you look like that...in the beginning I thought you were thinking about that guy.
-Thomas, I did. But then when I heard that loving him was red, burning red and looked at you – it made sense. I didn't feel like that with Michael, but with you – I just can't help it.
Thomas just smiled proudly at me. I guess now he knew that he was the only man in my life.
-I should get you drunk more often. – He teased.
-Very funny. So now what?
-I say we go home. I want you all to myself right now.
-Thomas, what will the others say if we just disappear?
-They'll understand.
-But... - As I was about to say something he kissed me again. It was a long, passionate kiss that made my heart almost stop. He had full control over me and he knew it.
He opened the car door and then quickly slid in his seat. He drove with one hand and with the other held my hand. From time to time, he kissed my palm or caressed it. As he pulled up, I couldn't recognize where we were.
-Thomas where are we? – I asked confused.
He just walked out of the car and helped me get out as well.
-My place, of course. – He gave me his famous crooked smile. – Come on.
As we entered his house, my first reaction was:
-Wow, this place is huge.
-Yeah, but it's lonesome without you. So do you want a drink?
-No, I'm fine.
-You sure are. – His look had love and desire all mixed into one.
Then he pulled me towards him, kissing my lips and then slowly making his way to my neck. He quickly found my soft spot. I tried biting my lip, but a small moan escaped my lips.
-Thomas... - I managed to whisper.
-God, I love how you say my name. Audrey...- he paused and whispered in my ear. – I want you so bad.
Before I knew it we were kissing with almost all our clothing gone. His bed was bigger than mine but by the way we we're holding on to each other, we would probably fit on a couch.
I vividly remember every word, kiss and touch. We stayed up for hours with Thomas pulling me closer to him. I lay on his chest and listened to his heartbeat.
-Audrey? Are you awake?
-Mhmm. – I wanted to stay awake but I was getting sleepy.
-Ich liebe dich, Schatz. – He whispered kissing my forehead.
I wanted to answer him so bad, but I didn't have the strength so I just smiled and traced a heart on his chest. I guess he understood me, because he murmured 'good'.
When I woke up in the morning I could barely contain my excitement. In the beginning I thought it was only a dream but when I saw a sleeping Thomas next to me I knew it was reality. I wanted to make him some breakfast, so I grabbed one of his T-shirts and headed to the kitchen. His place was huge, so I felt worried if I'd find everything. However, I found ingredients for pancakes, so I decided that it will have to do. I even decided to put on some music. The radio was playing Selena Gomez – Good for You. I danced and sang along while making the pancakes. I was completely in the zone so I didn't even sense when Thomas came to the kitchen. He hugged me from behind and kissed my neck.
-Mmm, everything smells delicious. Pancakes and a pretty girl who wants to look good for me – what more could I ask for.
-Good morning to you, too. By the way you sound very happy today. – I said spinning around and facing him.
-Well seeing you in my shirt does make me happy. – He smiled at me. – You look good in it, even better without it. – Thomas continued winking at me.
I blushed at that comment but I could feel the faint smile creeping on my face from remembering what happened yesterday.
-Cool it, Thomas. It's time for breakfast. – I tried to sound serious.
-Of course. But then we'll have to work out to get rid of all these calories. – He winked.
-Thomas! – I yelped as he picked me up and carried me and put me down on a chair.
-Audrey, I told you not feel embarrassed around me. So now, you're punishment is to sit tight while I get the pancakes and Nutella? Yeah, you're definitely a Nutella girl.
-How did you know? – I asked shocked.
-Because I'm the best boyfriend ever. – He replied with a smirk.
-And modest.
-Nevertheless, you still love me. – He stuck his tongue out playfully.
-Yeah, I fell in love with a dork.
-And I fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the world.
