It is game day and I haven't seen Thomas. My heart was beating fast the whole day – if we continue or not depends entirely on this game. I can see how everyone around me is worried. This is the most important game of the season and we are all praying Bayern continues. It got me thinking will we succeed? I had complete faith in Pep and his tactics but some little voice in my head kept repeating: "Remember how Chelsea beat Barcelona with the bus." I was hoping that our boys could break the Spanish defense but something kept tormenting me. I had a bad feeling about today, but I tried to bottle up these feelings. When lunch came around Jane and I went to get lunch for our colleagues.
-So what are you thinking about today? Will we win? – She started.
-I don't know. I have this bad feeling.
-Yeah, but did you see that Thomas is in the regular team.
-That's true. But I...I don't know.
-What's wrong, Audrey?
-Oh, it's nothing. It's just that I have this gut feeling that it won't end well.
-Why?
-Because Athletico has the freaking bus. The same thing happened with Barcelona and Chelsea.
-You really have the wrong team. You should work for Barcelona. – Jane started laughing. – But now with Thomas you won't leave Bayern. Anyway, I think he'll score and Lewandowski, too.
-Well, let's hope you're right. Everyone in the office is going crazy and it gets me even more worried.
-Don't worry, Audrey...we'll beat them. And then I guess I won't see you for days when Thomas gets his hands on you. – She nudged me and winked.
-Jane! Where did you get that idea? – I started blushing.
-Well, when we were at the karaoke bar I saw how you looked at each other. You guys are in love and it's so obvious. So when he stormed out I was shocked what's going on. The boys wanted to go after you two, but Philipp told me what you had told him about your feelings and how Thomas had said the same thing earlier in practice. So we decided to leave you two alone, because we knew that you guys will make up quickly. Then when you didn't came back the guys were sniggering because...well, we all knew what happens after you say I love you.
-I'm so embarrassed. I'm going to kill Philipp for spilling out everything.
-Oh, come on, Audrey. All of us were waiting for you guys to finally be honest with each other. I mean it's so obvious that you two are head over heels for each other.
-But we've only been on two dates... - I quickly voiced my own concern.
-Yeah but we're talking about Thomas and you – both want relationships and you overthink everything. So I was mostly shocked when you finally went with the flow. Serious and responsible Audrey confessing her love – I thought it won't happen until the wedding.
-Jane! Stop making fun of me – I'm not that bad.
-Yes, you are. But so is Thomas – that's why you guys are perfect for each other.
-Miss, your order is ready. – A waiter interrupted us and I smiled brightly at him, because he just saved me from this awkward conversation.
-Thank you! – I went to pick up the order and gestured for Jane to go.
-Audrey, I'm serious. You two are meant for each other. It makes me believe that love does exist. – Jane said with a serious tone.
-Thanks, Jane. Now I don't feel any pressure at all. – I laughed nervously. – So, forget about me, I want to know how are you? Are you better?
