eleven thirty-one, Friday December nineteenth, twenty-sixteen

We were swinging our hands back and forth as we walked the dark streets of Seattle, making small talk and babbling about who knows what, I shivered a little against the cold December air and walked a little closer to Max, his hand still holding mine. Mindlessly, his thumb was running over the back of my hand and my wrist, causing my heart to skip a beat with every stroke.

"Well I'm from Louisiana, where are you from?"

"Well, I'm from (where you're from xD)"

"That's really cool! tell me about it?" So I did just that, I told him stories about my home town and my family and a couple memories of friends, I told him why I moved to this part of Seattle, I told him about how Eli and I met, about my great-great grandmother, and soon enough he knew everything about me, and I him.

"I'm really glad I asked you to walk with me," I said against the night air,

"I am too, even if it is fuckin' cold."

"Mhm," We paused for a moment and turned a corner into a dark alley, I felt a little unsafe but with Max lumbering tall at my side, I felt a bit at ease.

"So, where would you work if not ihop?"

"I dunno," I shrugged,

"No? You don't have any interests?"

"Well I mean, I've always wanted to (dream job)," He snorted a little laugh,

"I'm only laughing because I can totally see you doing that,"

"Yeah well I don't really have any experience anywhere, so there's no way,"

"Where are you going to work?"

"I- I really don't know." We made it to the end of the alley and turned out onto another somewhat busy street, ducking in and out of the shadows casted by tall buildings and little main street- shops.

"Wait- where are you staying?" He asked,

"Oh some random hotel, it's kinda sketchy if you ask me." We were just ambling along, feeling blissful, feeling cold. Without knowing I had done it, I pulled our hands closer to me gently, and wrapped my other hand around the two of our arms, hugging his to me, he didn't seem to mind and instead just smiled down at me.

"Are you going to be okay there?"

"Well, until I find an apartment, yes."

"Well, Okay."

On we walked and he eventually pulled his phone out of his pocket, turning it on and unlocking it with one hand, he opened twitter. He tweeted something as we strolled along, I didn't bother peering at his phone for I was just engulfed in him, in the way he slowed down his pace as he was typing, in the way he was documenting our walk, he clicked out of twitter not long after posting the tweet and turned to me, though still walking.

"May I vlog good sir?" He asked In a persona I recognized but wasn't too familiar with,

"Yes you may,"

He flicked open his phone and pressed record as we still were turning corners and walking across intersections.

"Hello there!" He said, "I am sir butt butt butt butt," He said to the camera,

(OH

"And today we are here with only the fairest maiden in the land," He pointed the camera to me although I doubted they could see through the darkness and occasional flash of headlights driving by.
