eleven-fifty two am, Saturday December Twenty-seventh, twenty-sixteen"Come in?"
"Yea!" I pulled the door wider so he could come in, and closed it behind him.
"Drinks?"
"Yea!" The two of us walked to my kitchen and I opened the fridge, grabbing myself a (fav drink xD) whereas he grabbed himself what he ordered every time at ihop.
After the movie, everyone had fallen asleep in the living room, Max and I cuddled up on the couch, Tyler and Shelby were cuddled up on the floor behind the couch, and Red, Emily and Tim sprawled on the carpet in front of the T.V, they three were up a little later than us, laughing and arguing and kicking each other, I have to admit it was the most fun I'd had in months. We woke up to the sound of Ross yelling for no apparent reason, Shelby and Tyler played it off as if they weren't a thing despite what literally everyone knew, Tim, Emily and Ross went out for breakfast, Red went home and Max and I came to my place.
Well, Eli's place.
"Any job ideas yet?" He asked as we made our way to the living room and sat down on the couch,
"Not yet," I sighed, "I'm still looking."
His eyes widened a little bit, "What if you start making YouTube videos?" he asked, seemingly filled with glee,
"Oh, I dunno- I mean not a lot of people know me and what would I even put on my channel?"
"Well mostly at the offices we do gaming videos but it doesn't seem you're into that so much, you could do vlogs, and challenge videos!" He said, getting more and more excited, "You have a decent amount of followers on twitter and you have a few inside youtuber friends who could record with you!" he discreetly pointed to himself with both his thumbs, making me laugh.
"Well, okay. What would I need?"
"Well most of us just vlog on our phones but if you end up getting really serious you could buy a camera, though its not a priority, and as long as you have a laptop edit-" he paused for a second and smiled, "I could edit your videos!" He said, happily.
"Alright" I sighed, smiling. I mean, come on. It was Max, who could say no to Max?
Not me apparently.
He began showing me some YouTube videos on my laptop, pointing out things like 'how to intro' and 'how to outro' and 'always be energetic' the like; I'll admit I was getting more and more hyped. We went over what my intro and outro would be and soon enough I was declared "ready for the YouTube world"
"By the way," He said, standing up. "We're having a New Years Eve office party and I'm supposed to bring a 'date', "
"Oh?"
"Yeah well fuck that, unless of course you were to say yes, then maybe-"
"Well, Yes." I said,
"Oh really?" He sounded genuinely surprised, though I was fairly certain it was obvious he was more to me than he thought he was. "Oh wow," he said quickly, more to himself.
He left not soon after and I pulled up twitter on my laptop, curious as to what my 807 twitter followers would say, and formulated a tweet. I hesitated before clicking 'tweet' but I did, and the replies came flooding in not minutes later.
"Do It!"
"Omg."
"100% down for that"
"Stoked"
I nodded my head once and clicked out of twitter and into Imessage, where I messaged Callie.
yn: Hey girl! Guess what,Callie: What!
yn: Max invited me to a new years eve party-
Callie: ...
yn: As his DATE!
Callie: OMG girl You get it!
I began typing but kept my mouse-curser floating over the send, after a second I deleted what I had typed.
Callie: Everything OK?
yn: Yeah.
Callie: Come on, yn. Talk to me.
yn: I just,
yn: Am I supposed to miss him?
yn: I broke up with him, I wouldn't have seen him afterwards, I wasn't missing him so..
yn: I feel bad, I feel fake.
yn: Like the only reason I miss him or think about him or remember him is because he's dead.
Callie: Look, Yn, there's nothing wrong with you and it's not fake. You didn't miss him when you broke up with him because he wasn't gone.
Callie: It would be like if my brother died,
Callie: I don't miss him right now, because he still lives with me and my parents, I may not see him too often between both of our busy schedules, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't miss him if he was dead.
Callie: You can't miss someone who isn't gone.
Callie: You're doing it properly.
yn: Should I go to this party?
Callie: Of course,
yn: Shouldn't I be grieving?
Callie: You are, I know you are, you're grieving every second of every day.
Callie: going to this party doesn't mean you aren't mourning, it means you're taking the time to forgive yourself.
yn; Thanks Cal, Hang soon?
Callie: Hang now?
yn: Sure,
Callie: I'll come get you, we're going shopping for that party.
yn: <3 what would I do without you.
I closed my laptop and jumped in the shower super quick, Callie arrived and we went shopping at the nearest mall. I settled on a white-knit cut off under the belly button with black poka-dots, a flowy black skirt falling just above the knee, and some black ankle cut-boots. I was stoked, to say the least.
Max
I arrived at the offices to finish editing a video due Monday, No one else was there assuming it was a Saturday but I may have put the work off so I could hang out with (yn). I placed my phone down on the table and booted up my PC, just when the screen of my iPhone lit up. It was a tweet from (y/n)
"Thinking of starting up a YouTube channel, thoughts?" It read,
I smiled as I typed my response.
"That's my girl."
