haneul ran a finger through her knotted hair, carefully nitpicking the words typed on the document before her.
she picked up the coffee cup that had gone mildly warm and sipped carefully, eyeing her surroundings.
her home was fairly small, suitable for one person and one person alone. it was slightly disastrous, but had become so because of haneul's busy life. haneul's eyes fleeted back to the document before her.
nineteen year old, jeon jungkook, was found cradling the victim, sim eun hui. the two are said to be in a romantic relationship, a child to be expected.
eun hui was four months and hadn't informed the father.
eun hui was brutally stabbed in the abdomen an exceedingly amount of times. blunt force trauma to the back and front of the skull causing disfiguration to the face. toxicology reports show no signs of any alcohol or drug usage. slight bruising on the forearms and signs of fighting back are evident at the crime scene. time of death: between the hours of 10 and 11 pm.
the door was not broken in, evidence that the victim had allowed the perpetrator inside. no shoe marks on the floor and not finger prints on any surface.
the murder weapon was a six inch kitchen knife, found approximately four inches to the left of the victim. the item was dusted for fingerprints and found a 100% match to jeon jungkook.
jeon jungkook claims to have been at the bar til 9:30 pm and had drank plenty of soju. intoxication levels: 0.14. (note: intoxication levels of 0.14 bac result in gross motor impairment and lack of physical control. blurred vision and major loss of balance. euphoria is reduced and dysphoria (anxiety, restlessness) is beginning to appear. judgment and perception are severely impaired.)
bar tender does not recall seeing jeon jungkook leave so late. CVT tape, however, concludes that jeon jungkook had left the bar at approximately 8;45 pm.
haneul read the police report in and out. she had read it enough times that she could recite it word for word.
it didn't make sense to her. how could someone that intoxicated not be stopped? jeon jungkook had no physical control of himself, so eun hui could've easily guided him to their shared bedroom, if not, pushed him out the door.
but the question that was burning haneul the most was: who would frame jeon jungkook and park jimin? and why?
