"Well nice to meet you?" I said but it came off more as a question. "Huh. You're a lot different than I thought you'd be." He said as he finally let me go. Woo. I let out the big breath I had been holding. "I-I-I'm Claire." I stuttered due to the shock of what had just happened. "Wait, what did you think I would be like?" He turned and looked at me with a smirk on his face. "I know." He said and then turned and left me standing there staring at where he had just left from. He didn't even answer my question. He knew? How could he know? Up until a couple hours ago I hadn't even known he existed. How could he have known? I ran around the house looking for my father. Finally after wandering around the house for a good ten minutes I found him. I'm guessing the room he was in would be his room but so far it only had a couple boxes in it. "Dad, did you tell Logan about me?" I said as I bent over to start helping him unpack. "A little but I figured you to could bond over that." "Bond?" I said looking at him shocked. "Yeah, right?" I muttered. "He's going to be living with us so you better get used to it." Yay. I'm so thrilled. I walked out of the small room to see Logan walking out of a furnished room. Must be his I thought. He was walking into the kitchen with a duffel bag on his side. "Where are you going?" "Work." "I take it your work requires you to be gone quite a bit?" "Only on the weekends." That's right today was a Friday. "Oh." I said quietly. "Do you always ask this many questions?" He said. "When I'm curious." "So you're curious about me?" He said wiggling his eyebrows. "Curious about your life style." I corrected him. He sat looking at me for what seemed like an uncomfortable few minutes before he said, "Pack a bag for the next two days." "Why?" "You want to know about me? Then pack the bag. I'm taking you to my job." "Really!" I said shocked. "Yeah, what the hell? I mean why not?" "Okay." I said as ran to grab my duffle bag that was already packed. I ran back to Logan as he was opening the door. "Dad, I'm going to work with Logan! We won't be back for the next couple days!" I screamed so he could hear me down the hall. "All right! Be careful you two!" After hearing that I sprinted out the door towards Logan's truck. I hopped in the truck waiting for Logan, who was taking his sweet time. He started driving when I finally spoke up. "Where do you work?" "Let's just say... It's the toughest sport on dirt." I looked at him trying to understand what he was saying. "Racing?" I asked before he burst out laughing. "No. Not racing." "Then what?" "You'll just have to sit back and enjoy the ride." Dirtbag "Ugh."
