Summary: Amanda does something very daunting for her...
~~~~~~~~~~
"Max, I don't think I can do this," Amanda sighed, her hands shaking as she paced around her room. Max just sat on her bed, calmly, watching her walk nervously.
~Flashback~
"Hey Max," Amanda greeted the brown-haired boy as he walked into her house.
They had been dating for a few months now, and Amanda's parents always reminded him that he was welcome in their home. Max had met them the first time he came over to Amanda's house.
They walked over to the couches, sitting on the nearest one. There were a few silent moments before Max finally spoke up.
"Amanda," Max started, looking a bit nervous.
"Yeah?" Amanda replied, giving him her full attention.
"We need to talk," Max said firmly. Amanda felt worry crawling into her mind – this was a classic break-up saying, wasn't it?
"You're not breaking up with me, are you?" Amanda tried to say it in a joking tone, but the nervousness was evident.
Max just shook his head violently, and Amanda felt relieved, as she released a breathe.
"No way, I just wanted to say that, we've been dating for a while now, and I've met your parents, but you haven't met mine," Max continued, trying to soothe Amanda.
But she was just more worried – meeting his parents?!
"I don't think that's a good idea, I mean what if they hate me, what if-" Amanda started rambling, but was cut off by Max placing a hand over her mouth.
"I'm sure they'll love you, just like I do," Max said, making Amanda freeze.
"You love me?" She asked quietly.
Max just nodded.
"I love you too," Amanda replied, hugging him.
They sat in silence, just locked in each other's embrace – it was comforting.
"So, you'll meet my parents?" Max questioned, hoping she would agree.
"Yeah," Amanda responded quietly.
~Flashback over~
Throughout the few weeks, Amanda had been talking to Riley and Michelle, who both went through the same things. Riley just said that she was so nervous that she almost had a panic attack – which did not help Amanda's case at all.
Michelle, on the other hand, had said that Eldon's parents loved her, and she didn't really do anything, because they had been best friends before their relationship, she had already met his parents.
This was also not helpful, because even though Amanda and Max had gone to Elite together, and then both transferred to The Next Step, Amanda had never ever met Max's parents before.
