{Your pov}

You, Nep, Kanaya, and Aradia finally arrived at Dirk's house. You four took quite a while preparing for this. "Hey, Kanaya... Do you think Sollux is inside?" You whispered to Kanaya, worried about how you were going to face him. Would he talk to you? Or would he ignore you? "I do recall Karkat saying that they invited him, but I haven't heard from him whether or not Sollux is going. I'm sorry, (y/n)" you smiled at her "It's fine, Kanaya. Thanks anyway."

You all entered the house. Music was blaring, laser lights were going crazy inside the house, people were either dancing, drinking, or talking. You hope you could enjoy yourself here. Just forget about the whole ordeal with Sollux for a while-

"SOLLUX."

You hear Karkat call out a painfully familiar name. He's here.

{Sollux' pov}

Ugh, I made a horrible decision. I should've stayed home. I'm such an idiot. I'll just stay here in the corner and drink my worries away. Yes. Apple juice. Perfect.

"SOLLUX." Karkat was walking towards you holding a tray of nachos and some dip. "I got us some nachos." You smirk as KK sat down "Nithe going, KK~" you reached for a nacho. "Gosh golly wow!" URGH, that stupid Jake English is getting on your nerves with his accent and his words and his face... HIS WHOLE EXISTENCE. "(Y/N) you look absolutely dazzling tonight." (Y/N)? She's here? Crap. Wait no. Maybe I could apologize to her about this morning? I feel really bad for doing that to her.

{Your pov}

"Thanks, Jake" you smile at him and Kanaya nods at you, meaning you should go with him. "By the heavens, I thought you wouldn't show up. you can imagine the surprise on my face when I saw you enter the house." You giggle "well, I thought why the heck not, yeah?" You both found your way to the backyard where there were less people. You both sat on the ground by the pool watching everyone else "So, (y/n), I was thinking since I'm back and all... Maybe we could go out?" Jake scratched the back of his head looking down at the pool water. I turned to face him, my eyes were wide open with shock. Jake English just asked me out?!

{Sollux's pov}

I told myself to avoid her for now, what the hell am I doing snooping on them?! I followed Jake and (y/n) to the back of the house. They sat down by the pool. That fucker, English, was staring at (y/n) the whole time with his fucking shitty eyes. Gog, I want to strangle him to death. Maybe I should just hack his computer and send him a virus or something? Or gather all his deep dark secrets and spread em throughout the internet?

A couple seconds passed by, Jake looked like he was about to confess to (y/n). He looked down at the ground and rubbed the back of his head. I felt my blood boil. What if she says yes to him? Would she? But, I love her... argh, fuck you, Jake Fucking English. I anxiously waited for either of them to say something.

"So, (y/n), I was thinking since I'm back and all... Maybe we could go out?"

He did it. He fucking did it. I tried my best to compose myself but I couldn't. I stomped over to them and grabbed (y/n) by her arm "S-Sollux?!" She looked at me and then Jake "What are you doing?" I looked at her for a while and then glared at Jake "You stay away from (y/n), you athhat [asshat]." I walked away, dragging (y/n) behind me. She didn't struggle. It seemed as though she wanted to talk as well.
