For the past few days, Lindsey made it her job to stay with me the entire time making sure I didn't go anywhere. In the end, I gave up to her stubbornness. I also met the rest of the Syndicate; Apart from Vincent, Lindsey, and Vanessa, there was Max, Kyle, and Hugh. Vanessa - the proclaimed "Mother" of the group - made sure to cook nutritious feasts every day to help rebuild my strength and Lindsey regularly changed my bandages.

"Amelia, you up for training?" Kyle called from the opposite side of the hallway as I approached the door to my room. I paused to think, turning to look at the clock hanging on the wall. I turned back to Kyle and nodded before going into my room.

Kyle - who was playfully assigned the title of "Trainer" by Vincent - had agreed to my request for him to teach me some form of martial arts so that I can protect myself on my own. It took a while to convince Lindsey and Vanessa but they agreed after I almost hacked my own head off when looking through their weaponry room.

After I changed into a set of sports clothes Lindsey had lent me, I went down to the training room. It was a room that was two storeys high connected to the main building. There was a control room in one of the walls with a window to see into the training room. The room itself is all white and has many functions that could be activated via the control room.

Vincent was waiting for me when I entered the room. Well, waiting for me upside down. Leader of the syndicate? More like monkey of the syndicate. I can see why Lindsey calls him animal names. I looked up at Vincent, who had his feet planted on the ceiling and was dangling down, his black hair spiking down towards the floor.

I heard a knock come from the control room and saw Kyle. "You're going to focus on stamina today, Amelia. I've set the room to stick mode which means that you guys can walk or run on any of the walls and ceilings."

That explains how Vincent is dangling from the ceiling like a bat.

Kyle continued, "Your task is to try and catch Vincent. Your time limit is four hours. So we're stopping once four hours is up or when you catch Vincent. Or at least tap him on the shoulder. Whichever comes first. Start whenever you feel like."

"Oh and you might want to use gloves." Vincent advised from his position, throwing a spare pair of black gloves down at me. Why? But I didn't question and just pulled them onto my hands.

I stared at my newly covered hands - these gloves are pretty big - and then back at Vincent who hasn't moved from his position on the ceiling. Well then. How should I do this.

I placed a foot on the wall and tried walking up, using my hands as support so I don't fall back. But it was harder to move than I thought. The wall must be ultra sticky. I have to pull my leg really hard for it to unstick to the wall. Let me experiment a little more.

Once I reached a part of the wall that was high enough, I tried to jump off the wall to reach Vincent but my leg didn't have enough strength and I fell the moment my foot detached with the wall. So this is the meaning of this exercise. To build strength in my legs and arms. I wonder if this training is also the reason why they can jump from building to building.

I spun around and stuck my hand onto the wall to stop myself from falling even further.

"Okay, I'm going to start moving around too. There's too much blood going into my head." I looked over at Vincent who had started to sway in his spot. "Come an' get me!" He yelled before he swung onto the wall opposite mine before running sideways and jumping onto another wall and repeat.

I sucked in a huge breath before letting it back out, steeling my nerves before I sped my way up the wall. The faster I made myself run, the easier it was to move around. But it still leaves a burning sensation in my legs.
