Loud clicks of heels sounded through the small, dark hallway as Kimberly Miller walked through to the room situated beside the room she kept all the reports on her experiments. The room was much larger and travels even further underground. The area closer to the door was dark, only illuminated by a blue light coming from several capsules on the wall.
Kimberly Miller slowed her pace as she passed by the capsules, a grin forming on her face as she thought back to that night ten years ago. The night when Amelia lead Syndicate 45 to the building, and failed.
She placed a wrinkling hand on the glass surface of a capsule. The body of Christopher Rau rested inside, looking exactly as he had ten years ago. She looked at the other four. None of them had aged. The capsule was a definite success, though it took a several months of trials.
That night, when she had commanded her son's syndicate to kill them, she never did mean to kill them. Just gravely injure them. After all, she needed them in her project. They were so distracted by Amelia getting shot that they were so easy to take down after that.
Her smile widened as she continued to walk towards her destination. Her project was a success. She would reach her end goal soon. But for now, she still had her prized guinea pig. The experiments will continue.
Further away from the door, a circular area was lit brightly by blinding white light. In the middle was a capsule and two tables, one empty and one occupied. Machines and wire surrounded both of them. The other experimenters released the lock on the capsule and slowly removed the body within it and placed it on the empty table.
The body's white hair sprayed over the table, and the white light made her pale skin look translucent.
She gave the command to start connecting the wires, and the others began to place the one end of each wire on the body of Amelia Walker, and the other end on the person on the other table.
Another Amelia Walker. This one was hooked to several machines. This clone was one of the first to be created. She had been created ten years ago during her training sessions and was tested during her virtual sessions. Over the past few years they updated it and improved it.
They used her model as the base in creating all the other robotic clones. Perfection.
As each wire was placed in the correct place, everyone stood outside of the lighted circle.
"Let's begin." Kimberly Miller gave the order.
A person pressed a button on the control panel and the machines whirred to life. Electric sparks flew off the areas where the machines and wire are connected.
Whimpers came from the real Amelia's mouth. Kimberly Miller walked over to the control panel and increased the input to the machines.
The whimpers turned into screams.
Kimberly Miller could feel a devilish grin curling on her face.
I've got many plans for you, Amelia.

Rebel Born [FIRST DRAFT]
Ciencia FicciónI'm no longer writing this book but the people (on my IG) have spoken and asked for this to be republished in its full unedited, cringey glory. This is the first draft of Rebel Born (also the version I originally had on WP). Note: I wrote this a few...
