Chapter Ten

Elliott's POV

"Come on! I'm sorry!" He yells after me. Since our little talk, Lucas has been running after me, trying to get me to forgive him.
"Well I don't want to forgive you. You know very well how I hate people laughing at me." I say to him.

He looks down to the floor, then into my eyes.
"Look...I don't know what you want me to do. I don't know how to fix it, except from saying sorry." He says pouting. I then feel bad for yelling at him and hug him.

"Why are you hugging me now? Aren't you supposed to be mad?" He says sadly, again. I can't, for some weird reason, be mad a him. It's just that, Lucas, he's got this weird aura, like you can feel it just by standing next to him.

"It's fine. I just wanted to know if you're willing to fix it, that's all." I smile. We are still hugging and it feels good, you know, to feel warmth again..and to know that somebody is willing to fight for you.

"You were suffocating me! It wasn't nice, you know?" He says in a smile.
"Yeah yeah." I say as we walk to algebra class.

When we walk into the classroom, I sit, and Lucas sits behind me. We start talking about something and laugh our asses off, until we hear the bell and the teacher walks in. She greets us and sits on the chair by her desk. Then she tells us to copy everything from the blackboard, and ten minutes later, she erases it, then writes again. I just copy everything down, because I'll probably need it for finals. You never know.

After I hear the bell, I start packing, then exit the classroom with Lucas. We meet his friends in the lunchroom and Jo joins us too.
We share the same table now. I've lately noticed how Jo has been looking at Josh weirdly, because, she hates him with passion, so she wants to kill him.

"Hey are you coming to the Winter formal? It's practically October, but it's so hot!" Jesse says. Jesse is Ashley's ex. She was so annoying and he ended it with her. I mean, they all use her for sex, then throw her away, like most of the girls. But, Jesse and Ashley have been together for 3 months, which is pretty solid for a jock and a queen bee.

Lucas has 3 best friends and the other guys -who, may I note, don't sit with us at lunch - are just his friends. Those 3 besties of his are: Jesse - whom he knew from practically diapers; then there's Santiago - the hallway dude, from earlier, they've known each other from 5th grade; and then there is Kyle - the hookup dude from earlier, also, they've known each other from freshman year.
They have been having parties together, and went trough high school together. They are also going to Brown together and well...probably having business connections in the future. It's so good when you've got your own squad, who you know won't betray you.

And then, there's me- with only two best friends and a fake boyfriend. It's just so sad - but hey, better something than nothing.

"Hey, are ya okay? Elliott?" Kyle calls at me and wakes me up from my trans, of course.

"Umm..yes.. I just need to...sranje..." And with that, I rush to the toilette, because I have a feeling I'd throw up.

I see Lucas and Jo running behind me, but I don't pay anymore attention, because if I stop, I will throw up right here, in the hallway. So I bust into the bathroom, pull my schoolbag off my shoulder, and run into the closest bathroom stall.

After I've thrown up, I sit on the bathroom floor, in case I have to throw up again. I don't know where this came from, because, I have a pretty immune system. I hear the door open and see Jo run over to me.
