CHAPTER 20

So yeah! I actually can't believe I've come this far in writing a book. In my last book, which I have deleted, I wrote small and short chapters and it was just so bad 😂😂 Though, this is chapter 20 and I guess I am supposed to make it longer than other chapters, and I will. So stay tuned for the 30th chapter lol

*Elliott's POV*

We walked into the school and I just kept looking at my very simple, yet very fascinating ring. If you ask me, which you probably don't but I'll tell you anyway, he didn't need to give me anything. I felt so spoiled, and I kinda don't like that feeling.

I'm just happy that it is a promise ring. And also that he gave me the ring that once belonged to his now deceased mother. I knew how he felt. Mainly...I lost my parents too..

"Hey, what's that frown doing on your face? It shouldn't be covering your beauty." Lucas said as he put his warm hand on my jawline. His hand was big, so it covered the whole right side of my face. I blushed deep red...he called me beautiful.

I smiled at him and he smiled with me. His smiles always took me to dreamland because they were so beautiful.
"Lucas... We're going to be late for class." I told him just a moment after the realisation hit me. I couldn't like him just yet. Gosh..this is so sappy and cheesy.

"I don't care. You're more important to me." Was it his hobby now to make me blush?

I turned to my locker, taking the books and a pen. Turning back to him I said, "bye Lucas!" I let my hand fall from his as I raced to the AP Biology classroom. "Bye El!" I heard him shout but it came to me so faintly. I smiled to myself as I let the teacher begin the class.

After AP biology, Lucas was there, waiting for me, the usual. It was lunch time so we headed to our table in the lunch room.

A short period of time passed as Jo and Asher arrived. I was surprised he came to lunch here, wasn't he supposed to be at his school?

"I know what you're gonna ask, so here I am answering the unasked question. Asher switched schools, for me." Jo said with a small smile and I nodded at her, smiling back.

"Welcome here Asher." Both Lucas and I said in unison and then looked at each other awkwardly, then chuckled.

"Thanks guys. Are you two dating?" He asked looking at Lucas.

"Yeah. We are." Lucas answered and I looked down to my plate of food. How much longer is this gonna go? How much longer until someone finds out?

I stood up, grabbing Lucas by the sleeve of his shirt. I began walking and we ended up in the hall where we saw nobody.

"How much longer are we gonna lie to our friends Lucas? Because I can't really do this anymore. I just can't lie." I told him honestly. He took my hand but I noticed he hesitated.

"I don't know. Tell Jo and Asher if you want. Tell them it's all fake for all I care." He said dropping my hand violently and storming off.

After my fight with Lucas, I went to all my classes, but looks like he didn't. He was nowhere to be found. I guess he was mad. But what is the point in being mad when we're faking all of this. He doesn't like me, and I don't like him.

I went home after school. As I entered my house, I saw that my brother and sister weren't there. Huh..
