Preference #8 He meets your grandma/grandpa

Harry: It’s been such a long time since you saw your grandma so when you saw her, you ran to her and hugged her. You kissed her on the cheek and faced Harry, who was behind you. “Gram, this is Harry, my boyfriend. Harry, this is Gram (Y/GM/N).” Harry extended his hand for her, but your grand mum engulfed him in a hug and looked at him. “My, my. You need more fat in your body. Let me fix that,” she then leads him to the kitchen where the food is already served. Harry laughed but followed her anyway. Since then, Harry has always been welcome to go to your Nana’s home.

Liam: Liam has always been an amazing and charming boyfriend, so when you first visited your grandparents’ place, your grandma loved him immediately. Your grandpa, however, didn’t. While eating dinner, he quietly observed Liam while he talked with your grandma. Soon, you see your grandfather smile to himself, but he didn’t talk. Not until dinner was finished. He pulled Liam to the side and talked to him in private. You were worried, because your grandfather was a very strict and meticulous man. But, when Liam came back to you, he was smiling. When you asked him why, his smile grew wider. “He told me I look at you the way he looks at your grandmother.”

Louis: Your grandmother, being a jokester herself, loved Louis even before she met him. You told a lot of stories about him, so when they officially met for the first time, they got along quite well. They were sharing stories over tea and cake at your grand mum’s home while you sat beside Lou, listening to them. Your grand mum suddenly stood up and said, “Which reminds me. I have baby photos of (Y/N). I’m sure you’d love to see that. My, this girl is a handful. She would always break the cookie jar and…” She trailed off as she went inside to get your baby album. You then kissed Louis on the cheek and said, “I told you she’d love you.”

Niall: Niall has been on edge since you arrived at your grandparents’ place because he knows how much of a granny’s girl you are. He really wanted her to like him. But when lunch was served, he almost forgot where he was and ate to his heart’s content. His mouth was still full when he said, “The food is delicious, Nana (Y/GM/N).” Your Nana stared at him for a while then laughed heartily. She looked at you and pointed Niall. “I like him. Bring him over more often.”

Zayn: You talked about Zayn a lot, but you never told your grandma about his career. So, when your grandmother saw him, she said, “(Y/N), honey, he looks like the guy from that famous boy group. One Direction, was it?” You giggled and said, “that’s ‘cause he’s a part of One Direction, nana.” Your grandmother looked surprised but ecstatic. She was a lot like you. she loved music. “That’s great. I take it you can sing well? Would you mind singing me a song, dear?” Zayn happily complied, and your grand mum showered him with compliments. Zayn, of course, loved her praises, so he sang more songs for her.
