Preference #26 Light

Harry: The passing ray of light from outside wakes you up and you look at your clock to see it’s four in the morning. He’s finally home. You hear an engine turn off but you stay in bed and pretend to sleep because you know he’ll feel bad if he finds out he woke you up. Soon, you feel the other side of the bed dip, and you feel him drape his arm over your waist. He kisses the back of your shoulder and you face him. “Welcome back, babe.” He kisses you once, twice, then pulls you close and you nuzzle his chest because you’ve missed him and he’s finally back.

Liam: You watch him as he mingled with the fans and you’re sure their eyes are twinkling in awe. You smile because you see that his eyes have the same twinkle the fans have. And you love that about him. He has always appreciated the fans and he loves giving back. He says mingling with them isn’t much a sign of gratitude, but you always disagree. The little things he does for his fans are what makes them happy. Then you’d see the light in his eyes go slightly brighter because he’s assured that the fans know how much he cares.

Louis: The two of you started your tradition of decorating the Christmas tree together two years ago. Seeing it was a few weeks before Christmas, the two of you decorate the tree. You hand him an ornament as he climbs up the ladder to teacher the higher part of the tree. And when he’s near the top, you give him the star ornament the two of you bought the first time you decorated a tree together. You wait for him to go down before you turn on the Christmas lights. He lets you stand in front of the tree and he brings out his phone to take a photo of you. He then stands beside you and the two of you do wacky poses because you can’t really see the whole tree from his front camera.

Niall: You turn off the lights as the others inside the room find a place to hide. You held a cake and stood in the middle of the room while waiting for the unsuspecting birthday boy to come. You soon hear loud footsteps, and you’re sure he was moping around because he thought no one remembered his birthday. In the morning, you told him your friends from out of town are visiting and you’ll be out the whole evening. You also told all the people involved in the surprise not to greet him. When he entered the room and turned on the light, he let out and unnaturally high squeak when you and all his loved ones shouted “Happy Birthday!” You approach him and say, “Make a wish, birthday boy.” He blows the candle and everybody cheers. He keeps you close to him the whole night and would whisper his gratitude and love.

Zayn: The flashing lights blind you as you stood beside him, his hand securely on your waist. You’ve been to past award shows before, but this is the first time you join him on the red carpet. You were nervous because really, who were you to walk the red carpet anyway? “You’re a very beautiful woman who happens to be in a relationship with an equally good-looking man. It just so happens that that your good-looking boyfriend and his mates are accepting a prestigious award and he wants you there with him on the red carpet. Please?” And of course, you couldn’t say no. He barely asks for anything, and if he does, it’s very special, so you go with him.
