Chapter 7 - Up From Below

They arrived at Kakashis apartment and when Kakashi shut the front door they both began to laugh and cry at the same time, holding hands. The tears building thick in Obitos eyes as he giggled was the look of an innocent, pure child.
Happy tears has never felt this good.

"Kakashi! I mean it!" He chuckled as he tried to catch his breath. Kakashi still unable to adjust to such a life changing surprise placed his hands over his face crying. Obito placed his hands on his shoulders as Kakashi dropped his head down sobbing. Obitos jaw softly dropped in sympathy, "Kakashi..." He softly mumbled. Kakashi softly sobbed in his hands. Obito felt so fluttered.

All the while...His old demons, masked identity, and self conflictions began to wither now. His feet planted on the grounds in the leaf village barrier. Kakashi crying over all this as Obito slowly pulled himself out of the his hell. Obito felt somewhat stunned. Rather...Foreign to this awakening. It was a rush in his veins. Adrenaline rising.
All eyes on him cause he's back.

They settled on the couch where they sipped on iced water to calm themselves down in this heated conversation, "Kakashi...!" He chuckled, "What...? How! Am I going to do this...?!" Obito asked desperately as he tugged on his black tank top. Kakashi holding in his excitement of all this replied, "Obito...this is what we're gonna do..." He calmly spoke as he shut his eyes in thought. Obito in anticipation but his bottom lip, that not helping he went for another sip of his drink. "To make things smooth. I will report this to Lady Tsunade. To see if she will accept this. I mean, you're intentions are completely pure and clean. And you truly feel like this village is your home and you can't handle staying away any longer. You are Obito Uchiha...! If she is unsure I know what to say and do. But first, she's the hokage so we must inform her first. From there..." He paused in thought. Obito who had a pink blush on his cheeks nervously stared at his partner. "...We'll have the whole village present our survivor from the Third Great Shinobi War!" Kakashi excitedly spoke with pride. Obitos eyes innocently widened and gasped as he placed his hands on his mouth. Kakashi giggled at that. "Um...wow..." Obito spoke in his hands as his eyes grew excited and overwhelmed. "But before we do Tsunade and I will inform the elite. All the Jonin will gather as all your past teams find out that you're alive and well Obito!!!" Kakashi cheered. "And from there, all the jonin will tell their students if they feel nessacary. But I'm sure they all will I mean..." He trailed off, "They just found out their friend is alive after 20 years!!" Kakashi cried out with a huge smile. "Aaaahhh...!" Obito screeched as he pulled a pillow to his chest and fell back. Chills ran down his body as Kakashi spoke of the plan. A huge rush to his brain took its toll and Obito lyed back blushing and groaning in overwhelment. "Aaahh! Kakashiiiiiiiii...!" He whined. "I can't believe...!" He dug his hands over his face and curled his legs to himself. Kakashi stared clapping and cheering on. "Obito..! We need to bring the brownies to the table! Let's celebrate!" Kakashi rushed to the closet squeeling as Obito popped his head up blushing. The white haired man stripped his green jacket and jumped on the couch with the remainders of brownies in the box. "Eat up Obito..!" Kakashi cheered. Obito still completely knocked up with overwhelment managed to get up and take a brownie. "Oh my gosh Kakashi...!" He spoke as he smelled the rich chocolate, "I can't even eat...!" He cried out as his anxiety piled high. Kakashi laughed so hard slapping a hand on his knee. "So wait!- When...-well how long will this process be? Until I'm an actual piece to this village...with all y'all..." pointing a finger, "Jonin...?" He took a bite of the brownie. Kakashi swallowed and smiled bright at the thought of Obito wearing a leaf Jonin outfit. Obito only chewed and stared in worry. Kakashi loved that he was unaware of his thoughts. "Obito! Don't worry! It'll probably be a week process if I report to Tsunade tomorrow? It'll be maybe less that 7 days." He replied as he pushed the thought of Obito wearing those trademark goggles again. Kakashi looked away blushing. "Mmmm." Obito groaned as he ate. Kakashi wanted to squeel in excitement. He clapped his hands together and then held Obitos, "Obito! You have no idea how proud I am of you!" He spoke with pride. "Do you know how courageous and strong that is for you to do such a thing?!" Kakashi cried out. Obito swallowed and then giggled, "Awe...Well..." He turned his mismatched eyes to the carpet, "I can't stay awake wondering who this body is..." He muttered, glancing back at Kakashi he softly giggled. But then gasped softly as he felt Kakashis body tower over him, finding himself lying back on the couch. "Ka...kashi..." He softly spoke and held his blue longsleeve shirt on his chest, dragging it to him. "Obito...I love you..." He softly spoke. Obitos eyes watered again. Kakashi wrapped his arms around the black haired man and held him tight. Obito, fluttered in this embrace gripped onto the back of Kakashis shirt. They lyed holding each other for minutes on end.

"You're sleeping here tonight Obito." Kakashi softly spoke as he picked up the box of brownies from the mini table across the couch. Obito rose to his elbows smirking, "You know as of now I don't have a home?" He replied. Kakashi slightly surprised at that turned to face him. "Well..." He began, "Why don't you...live with me?" Kakashi softly asked. His tone warming Obito with desire. Obito blusbed, "Here...?!" Kakashi smiled with his eyes shut and weakly chuckled. "I mean...why not?" He replied. "I was..just making sure you knew what you were saying 'Kashi.." Obito muttered and pouted his lips staring at the floor blushing. "First night in Obito...Wanna...Watch a movie? No Netflix and chill I swear!" Kakashi joked. Obito glared with his eyebrows twitching, "-What...The hell Kakashi..." He mumbled in amusement. Obito stretched and sighed, "To be honest I just want to go to sleep...Today's a turning point for me...I need to sleep this anxiety away..." And got up from the couch. "I need to buy tooth brushes...Obito." Kakashi randomly spoke. Obito glanced up at him with a smile showing his teeth. Kakashi chuckled and itched his hair. "Go on." Obito spoke as he gestured a hand to move. "I'll be taking a nap here." Obito turned to the couch. "Of course help yourself Obito...Um..I'll make it quick!" Kakashi spoke as he grabbed his jacket and went for the door. Before the door could shut, Kakashi poked his head out, "Bye Obito..." He joked. Obito who lyed comfortably opened one purple eye, "Hehehe Bye Kakashi..." He mimicked a motherly voice back at him. Kakashi laughed and went off.

'A simple walk to the drug store never felt this good.' Kakashi thought as the night air began to feel like the old days where he'd stay up and play kick the can with Obito as kids.

The good old days.
