(Hello again! xP Hope you guys are still liking the story. I know I've said it multiple times but yeah. If you have any questions about story or situations in the story, feel free to ask. x3)

Lunar slowly opened her dark purple eyes, she felt a close pressure but more of a natural presence next to her.
Jay was sleeping softly right beside her, this wasn't new. She slowly and gently scooted away from Jay's side, trying carefully not to wake him.
A partial view of the marking on the side of Jay's face caught her eyes attention.
As much as she wanted to just smack Jay awake and question him, she let him rest. She stared out into the distance, spaced out in her own thoughts. I wonder where he is? Will he ever come back? When?!

Lunar, still lost in her thoughts, started to hum her favorite lullaby as a child.
"Crimson night sky, calls out to me. Ocean of dreams and tired eyes, all but unseen... Forgotten worlds beyond and far, we have come to par. To far to forget, so don't you fret, my child..." She softly sang.

"You know, I've always loved that one.." Jay said out of the blue. Lunar jumped and perked up at the sound of his voice, unaware that he had woken up or listening at that fact.
"R-Really?! Could you NOT eavesdrop for once!" She replied in a playful voice.
Jay couldn't help but to laugh. He brushed his hand across the marking on the side of his eye once more, hoping it was just a hallucination. Lunar grabbed the side of his face and felt the rough patch of scales,
"Where did it come from? Its almost like the scales of a snake were mended onto the side of your face. And blue?"

Jay smacked her hand, she obviously was curious and couldn't help but to touch the scales. "Can you stop that? It stings."
"Aww can't take a little pain?" she teased him, extending her hand out again.

"Shut up, let's just get this job over with and get our pay." Jay growled smacking her hand from his face again.
Lunar was only trying to joke around and looked at the ground. She nodded as the both of them gathered their things up to continue towards Quillston.

They both walked side by side, Lunar looked over to him. He still looked pretty upset about earlier, she tried to break the awkward silence,
"So the blue scales are cool, right?" She spoke nervously. Jay glared at her, "I guess..." he replied softly followed by a large huff. Jay and Lunar strolled through the main gate of Quillston.

Jay reached in his bag for the job request, "Okay now we need to talk to this man named, Jeffrey.... He's the one who sent the request. C'mon." He said quietly, so no one but Lunar could hear him. She nodded and went to asking door to door for information.

Every time either of them approached one of the run down houses and shops, they would just slam the doors and windows shut before they could get a single word out. They were surprised these houses hadn't fallen apart yet, the wood was old and broken beyond words, and the stone was chipped and cracked to hell!
They regrouped after trying to question the rest of the houses,
"Nothing?" She asked. "Nothing. From what I can tell, these people are living in terrible conditions. I wouldn't be surprised if most of their families have already died from sickness or illnesses." Jay said out loud blankly, unaware he was being harsh.

Lunar grumbled under her breath and locked back her hand into a fist. All was heard was a swift punch followed by a loud thud.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! These are people too, you think that they don't know that?! You think they WANT to live this way?!" She yelled utterly furious at him, Jay was on the ground wiping the blood off of his face.

Jay looked up at her and chuckled a little, only making Lunar all the more angered. "Solar wouldn't care about these damn people if he was here, heck he'd probably slaughter them all to end their misery." His stupid mind got the best of him as his heart nearly stopped, the words just slipped out.
Lunar on the other hand stood in silence. Eyes started to creep out their windows, falling onto the two of them arguing.
She drew her sword, holding it directly up to Jay's throat, gradually applying more and more pressure.

"What did you just say? Of all people, you bring him up? I swear I should kill you now....but no." Lunar said in a serious tone after taking a deep breath. She then lowered her sword and put it back in it's holster. Lunar realized the villagers were watching, she would only be scaring them even more than they already have.
Lunar walked off, going further along the path ahead.

Jay plopped onto his back, staring at the sky. He put his hand over his eyes, "Dammit, why did I be so harsh? Bring up Solar only made it worse... Laying here won't help me make it up to her. I'm such a jerk." He thought to himself, sitting up whilst watching Lunar storm off.

"There's not even time to rest? Well damn. Better catch up..."

(Hope you enjoyed the chapter as always! And yes Lunar is pretty pissed. Sorry if there is a bit of language, I'm only writing what they would say. But if you want me to lessen or stop it in general, just ask.)
