Lunar opened her eyes slowly, her surroundings weren't the same. Her head was pulsing as she sat up in the bed, everything was so...different. The headache only made it worse as she tried to get up, she stumbled and staggered across the room trying to reach door. She felt so weak, something was wrong. Lunar collapsed onto the hard floor, there was no way she was this way, someone did something to her.

Her eyes lit up in slight fear and shock, "Fading drowsiness....weakening of the limbs.....headache...and then there's slight memory loss." Quickly mumbling to herself, she gasped. "The only explanation would be, a potion of some sorts. Who the hell drugged me?!" She exclaimed softly. Knowing now what is happening, she had to leave. Whatever they were planning, it couldn't of been good. She managed to stand up with the support of leaning on the wall, putting her back against it. Her eyes carefully scanned her surrounding area, from the looks of it, she was in some sort of attic. Commotion and conversations were faintly heard from below her and outside the door.

She gained some stability and patted the side of her pants, her sword was still here. She was confused why they would kidnap her but not take away her weapons. Surely there was something strange going on. Lunar drew her cutlass before cautiously walking over to the door. Creeping it open a crack, two people were standing along the balcony. They were dressed like guards but...different species.

She eavesdropped on their conversation, "What did the commander tell you to do with that boy?" The guard like serpent said.
"She said he was a stray, she wants him executed at the festival." The jackal responded, his armor same as the serpents.
"Your kidding? Doesn't ssshe know it'sss wrong? He'sss innocent!" His tongue slithered at the jackal.

The jackal chuckled, then returned to being serious. "He may be innocent but do you really want to be slaughtered instead? Zenaria is ruthless if you didn't remember. We can't do anything but carry out her orders." Just as he finished, Lunar fell against the door.

As she hit the ground, the two guards jerked their heads towards Lunar.
"She's awake..." The jackal told the serpent. He slithered off to go tell the owner. The jackal's eyes narrowed down at her, calmly walking over to her. He grabbed her by the arm and helped her regain balance, "Are you okay? You must be confused, little girl. My name is Almun." He said, he then took a small whiff of Lunar. Her scent was natural, "Your home..." Almun added with a grin.

-----------------------------------=----------------------------------

"Home? W-What do you mean home? My only home is Ravenmire! Take me back!" Lunar exclaimed, grabbing Almun by the shirt, shaking him back and fourth.

Almun shook his head, "I can't, you belong here with your kind. You are fellow 'Whire', you are home." Almun walked her over to the balcony, waving his hand across in front of them. The manor was filled with so many species and races! Dragon hybrids, elves, ender hybrids, lamia's, nymphs, too many to count and some were beings she never even seen! Her eyes sparkled at the sight of the variety of beings, even tribes that have been at war were chatting and laughing together.

"How am I one of these "Whires"? I'm human, there's nothing mystic or animal like about me. Last time I checked I didn't have ears, a tail, or anything!" She said.

Almun looked over at Lunar and smiled, "We all may look different, act different, and be different from each other, but there is only one thing that every being has, a scent. All of our species and races have that same familiar smell. Humans have a more unpleasant, foul, rotten odor to them. We community of Whires have all been effected by humans. They have ruined us, put our kinds into captivity, slaughtered our people! We have learned to get along, but we all share the hatred of humans. That's why we sent a human boy due to orders, to Hearth City for execution." Almun lectured her.

Lunar was amazed of how they described humans, even so she still pondered about what Almun meant exactly.
"So your saying I'm one of you? One of these 'Whires'? Why do you assume I'm one, I've stayed around Jay for years now and I haven't smelled or sensed anything unpleasant about him." Lunar stated, denying the fact that she was a Whire.

"We don't assume your one of us, we know. Senses won't lie, but if your mindset is clouded, they won't be clear." Almun was persistent of the idea that Lunar was part of the family.

Lunar took notice what he had said moments ago and her mind clicked. "So....who was this boy that you sent for execution, exactly?" She said awkwardly, trying not to raise suspension between them.

Almun's bright smile shifted, "We...don't like to talk about their kind. Now that you mentioned it....he was searching for you. Quite feisty might I add." He seemed hesitant to answer her.

That was all she needed to hear from him, "I think this place is beautiful and all, but I need to go save my 'friend' from being killed!" Lunar emphasized with slight aggravation and rage, though finding it quite difficult to stay clam.
The serpent returned with haste, "Ah! Bazix, what took you so long?" Almun said putting his hand on his shoulder. Bazix was breathing heavily, "The boy, he'sss gone! I went to go inform the owner, but ssshe wasn't there. One of them told me ssshe had left to go see the guardsss escorting the boy on their way, supplying them with some provisionsss!" Bazix's words quickly slurred out of his mouth, continuing to take large breaths.
Almun shook him a little, "Get to the point. What's happened Bazix?!" His voice rose with worry.

"W-When I got there...I only sssaw bodies, lying on the ground. The boy....h-he killed them, all of them. The guardsss, the bossss, e-even Sssilac!" Bazix cried, slowly catching his breath. Almun and Lunar both stood frozen in shock, Almun turned to Lunar.

"Your "friend", has shown to be a PERFECT example. An example of WHY we hate humans! They kill us Whires without even caring, not even considering us as people! THIS, is why we kill them! THIS, is why we have no choice but to slaughter them, just like they massacred OUR people and OUR families!" He shouted in rage, he ripped off a small part of the balcony railings and threw it at the wall to his right.

"Jay? What the hell were you thinking?! Of all times, you had to fight back. What am I going to do now...?"

(Sup peeps! Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Its something a bit different and introduces some new info to the story. I put the extra S's for the slithering voice effect of of Bazix, since well he is a serpent after all. Almun is almost like Anubis, well Anubis is an ancestor of theirs so they have a similar appearance to Anubis. Yes, they do get VERY MAD since the humans have been doing this for years, they are sick of it. Well, with that said. Cya next chapter! :) :D )
