The tavern went silent, everyone was looking up at Almun and Lunar, causing commotion.
"You have it all wrong. Jay doesn't kill without reason. Wouldn't you do the same if you were going to be executed?! Look, I understand that you people hate human kind, but not all of them are monsters! Just let me prove to you that he didn't murder them. If I'm wrong, you can kill him once we find him. Deal?" Lunar protested holding out her hand. Lunar knew she was betting Jay's life for something he may not have done, his life was on the line either way.
Almun huffed, "Deal. If you are wrong, believe me, I won't hesitate killing him. Your betting his life for the sake of his innocence? Your a risky girl, don't let it be your downfall." He shook her hand and walked out of the tavern. He slammed the door shut, Bazix looked at him leave from the balcony. The creatures returned to their chattering and drinks.
"You know, I've never ssseen him thisss angry. With Sssilac dead, he can never act the sssame, not anymore. You should talk to the othersss downstairsss, to relive sssome of the tension." Bazix said only trying to help, Lunar nodded.
"I thought everyone here hated human kind, why don't you?" Lunar said stopping at the stairwell to the downstairs area.
"I never sssaid I liked them, it'sss true, we all dislike them. It'sss just that, we should try to be more civilized. We can't hold a grudge forever, we shouldn't. I believe your right, not all human beingsss are monstersss but not many among usss think that way. Almun won't take it into consideration, you sssee Sssliac was ssspecial to him, they were going to get married in a few daysss...." He replied, he shooed off Lunar to go talk with the others.
(Short part but its the end of chapter 5. Been off a bit lately so I haven't been that active with writing. I will get back once I feel a bit better...)
