After everything went dark it went silent, a faint yet familiar voice echoed out.

"Heh.......this is our life. Attacked on a daily basis, thousands of people in our type of situation taking their last breath.... What good is this life if it ends.....with a simple mistake?" The voice faded away, returning to silent abyss, cold, and dark.

Lunar saw herself and Jay appear into this void of nothingness, they looked at each other and frowned,
"This is our life huh? It was fun while it lasted..." He said his face temporarily lit up, quickly turning back to a frown due to Lunar's silence.

Lunar floated there in absolute stillness, lifeless almost. She felt like such a failure,
"It's my fault isn't it? My life is taken away, yet I happened to drag you along too. I'm sorry, Jay."

Jay was silent, they both were. "I wouldn't have it any other way..." He mumbled.

"Huh? You say something?" She asked in a solemn voice.

"N-No......it's nothing." Jay replied quietly.

A light started to glow from in between them, Jay opened his eyes only to find himself flipped over onto his stomach. Jay looked over to where Lunar was laying, she was still unconscious. Quietly getting up he looked around, the woman who had shot them was rummaging through their bags and equipment.

"Hey! Give us our shit back!" He shouted. The woman stumbled back and fell onto the ground in fear, pointing at him while backing away in terror.

"Y-You...y-your a-a-" she gulped, "Don't hurt me p-please!" The woman pleaded in tears.

Something was different, Jay remained calm and took a step forward. The woman stumbled back away from him even more.
"Go..." He said in a soft tone, still having a dangerous edge to it. The woman rushed to get up and ran away into the fog, disappearing into the dark forest. As many questions he wanted answers to, they had to wait and he knew that.

Jay took a deep breath and turned his attention back to Lunar who was still lying on the ground motionless.
The echoing voice returned, "Don't you dare fail to protect her, or to protect others. I don't want a reason to regret this so don't give me one. Never take this chance so lightly." It whispered out to Jay, then falling silent once more.
