Chapter 4- His Promise

(Finals testing has slowed down a bit so I'll try to update more often.)

She stumbled onto the ground gasping for air, she was in panic making it all the more harder to breathe.
"Damn him!" The girl said smashing her fist on to the floor beneath her, forming into a more human state. The phantom like smoke quickly dispersed into thin air as she finished taking on a whole figure look.
She calmed down soon after, finally able to catch her breath.
"I'm supposed to be his most reliable ally! I'm supposed to be stronger than that DAMN BOY!" Infuriated at her situation.

A more ominous figure soon followed.
"Well? What have you come to give me, Death? Hopefully you haven't come to bring me the satisfaction of killing you. That would a disappointment, to kill other one of my own." The man said, snow white eyes glaring down at her.
"N-No! I haven't come to disappoint, but to bring news. I.....failed and taking him down but-" Death said rather nervous and shaky.

"You what?! Are you telling me, that you were defeated by a pathetic, worthless, mortal boy?!" Anger and aggravation creeping into his voice.

"I won't fail again! I can succeed this time, I promise you." Death said, she kneeled on one foot.

"Ha! Promises are only unseen lies. Go! Seek the girl, she's our main problem now." He spoke as his anger died down. Death dispersed into smoke and traveled with the wind.

"I'll prove to you I'm stronger than that mortal boy. Just you wait!"

Lunar regained consciousness once more, vision and memory fairly vague. She looked down at her hands, stained with red and no sign of Jay was to be seen. Lunar got up slowly, her body was extremely sore from the blast. She manage two stand on her feet as she began to limp over to the trap door.
When she got to the top, guards on standby heard her come up from the cellar.
A few guards hurried in and lifted Lunar up by her arms.

"Thanks. Wait wh-" Lunar started the say before one of the guards put shackles on her wrists.

"Be quiet! You are under arrest for the murders of Quillston. Your coming with us." The guard said escorting her away.

"What no! Where's Jay?! He can sort this out, he can tell you the truth." Lunar said shocked trying to explain herself. The guard just ignored her and continued to lead her back to the kingdom of Ravenmire.

"Where is Jay? Shouldn't he be here? I doubt he'd just run off without explanation! Hopefully the king and queen can help me out." Lunar contemplated for awhile. It was never normal for Jay to just abandon her, Jay still had a promise to keep. Lunar started remembering old times, starring blankly as she got lost in her train of thought.

The sun was high and bright, warm but yet not scorching hot either. Jay would walk up to her as she stood next to the giant dragon statue in Ravenmire, taking a seat by her......
