Brandon gave his friend an amused look. "You have been watching her for two days, Nick. I feel like a stalker already." They were now seated in Nick's car waiting for Anya to come out.

"I just want to know for myself. Mother has a file on her already the moment I gave her Anya's name."

"Yeah and she just sent it to me," Chadwick said. "Want to see it?"

Nick hesitated, "Is she a member of any social networks?"

"Your girl has no Facebook, but her sister does," Chadwick said.

Nick rolled his eyes, "No, I don't care about her. She's a regular viper. I never liked vipers."

"Ask her out on a date," Chadwick said. "She doesn't know you. She does know me, though. She recognized me on the spot."

Nick snorted, "She's aspiring to become a lawyer, of course she knows who you are. You happen to be one of the best."

Chadwick pretended to cry. "I am touched, really."

Nick gave his friend an exasperated look and stepped out of the car. "I can't believe you're using your father's college car. What happened to you? You used to be a ladies' man and now you're been reduced to this?"

"I lost a bet," Nick said with a wince as he locked the car and followed Chadwick into the bakery. This was the place where Anya worked.

"Against who? Your mother?" Chadwick replied. They looked at the displays and wondered what to order. Nick noticed Anya wasn't anywhere near the counter.

"Good afternoon, gentlemen, what can I interest you with?" The store keeper asked. Nick frowned and wanted to ask where Anya was.

"What would you recommend?" Chadwick asked.

Nick's attention was caught by an igloo made out of chocolate. It reminded him of Anya and her addiction to it. "How about that igloo?"

The store keeper smiled, "The last piece, I am sorry but this one has been put on reserve."

"By whom?" Nick asked.

The store keeper frowned, "A particular Mrs. St. Anthony. She says a man named Nicholas Kingsley will come and buy this."

Nick groaned and pulled out his student ID. "I am Nicholas Kingsley," he ground out.

"Does who ever made this get a break?" Chadwick asked, he could barely contain his laughter as he took the package from the man.

The potbellied store keeper glanced at his clock. "Yes, but not right now, we will have rush of customers and we need her here up front."

As soon as he said that, the store bell rang and pretty soon, there was a line of students and teachers ready with their orders and money. Nick knew this line was not going to let up until it was almost closing time. He grabbed Chadwick by the shoulder and then they were both headed back to his apartment.

Nick stared at the igloo and wondered what his mother wanted. "Does she have security all over the campus just for me?" he asked.

"I kind of told her this girl captured your attention. But she doesn't spare you a glance even though she knows you two are neighbors. You still know squat about her." Chadwick admitted with a wince.

"You what?" Nick shouted. "What are you my mother's spy?"

"Calm down, Nick. Your mother trusts you to do fine on your own. She misses you, she actually sent me her to convince you to come home for the long weekend. She wants you to bring that igloo to her."
