“I think I’ll get an apple pie.” Evelyn said as she walked into the dining hall with Belphegor and Leviathan on each side.

“Then Belphegor shall go and inform the chef of your choice.” Leviathan said, looking over at Belphegor.

“Why can’t you do that Leviathan?” Belphegor asked.

“I don’t plan on ordering anything, and I’m sure that you.”

Belphegor sighed and went off in the direction of the kitchen, and grumbled under his breath all the way there.

Leviathan grabbed Evelyn’s arm. “Now let’s go find a table worthy for me to sit at.” She dragged Evelyn over to a table in front of a large window that over looked the forest.

“Aren’t there people sitting there?”

Leviathan didn’t answer as they continued and finally came to a stop in front of the table. The three occupants looked up sharply at the intrusion and the only male sitting at the table opened his mouth only to immediately close it once it dawned on all three of them exactly who standing at the end of table. Leviathan titled her head and they paled and scrambled out of their seats.

Leviathan took a seat. “Now the table is empty.”

Evelyn shook her head as she sat down by the window. “That was cruel.”

Leviathan shrugged. “I help protect them and allowed them to live, the least they can do is offer me their seats.”

“That wasn’t offering, that was running to escape your wrath.”

“It’s all the same to me.”

Evelyn shook her head mournfully as Belphegor appeared and sat down beside her.

“The food is on its way.” He told Evelyn. She nodded and then turned to look out the window. As she was staring at the dark and twisted trees she saw movement in their shade and looked down to see lots of men moving. Some looked like they were packing and cleaning weapons while others looked like they were fighting.

“What’s going on down there?” Evelyn looked at Belphegor and Leviathan questioningly.

Leviathan leaned over and looked out the window. “It’s merely the army preparing to depart.”

Evelyn nodded and turned to resume her observation of the soldiers when someone appeared at the end of the table and spoke. “They are getting ready so soon?” Evelyn, Leviathan and Belphegor all turned to see Mammon standing at the end of the table.

“You know Asmodeus is looking for you?” Belphegor asked as Mammon took a seat beside Leviathan.

“Is he now?” Mammon relaxed into the seat.

“Yes he is.” Asmodeus said from behind Mammon.

Mammon jumped in his chair and spun around to face Asmodeus with wide eyes. “When did you get here?”

“I think the better question is why you are still here and not outside with the men.”

“Well since I am clearly in the dining hall I obviously want some food.” Mammon shot back as a cook stepped out of the kitchen carrying a tray of food. He started walking towards the group when his eyes fell on Asmodeus and then Evelyn and his step faltered. Once the cook had regained his balance he continued walking towards them, but at a faster rate of step. When he reached them he quickly placed the plates of food down and, with a quick, fearful glance at Asmodeus and Evelyn, he turned and walked so fast back into the kitchen that he was almost running.

“Anyone care to explain what that was about?” Mammon asked, as he reached over to grab food off of one of the plates. Belphegor pushed his hand away and grabbed his plate while sliding Evelyn’s apple pie over to her.

“No.” Asmodeus said, and then grabbed Mammon by the back of his collar and pulled him out of his chair.

Mammon looked mournfully at Belphegor and Evelyn eating their meals as he was slowly dragged away. “Wait I haven’t yet.”

“How unfortunate.” Asmodeus continued to drag Mammon as they left the dining room.

Evelyn turned to look out the window at the soldiers preparations, eating her pie, until Asmodeus appeared dragging a reluctant Mammon out to the soldiers. Asmodeus continued to drag Mammon until they reached the tree line where Asmodeus threw him against a tree trunk. Asmodeus yelled at him, threw a sword that imbedded itself into the tree behind Mammon, several inches away from his head, and then walked away leaving him to his own devices.

Evelyn turned back around to examine Belphegor eating his meal and Leviathan staring across the room with a bored expression on her face. “Do you guys think they will be okay the rebels?”

Belphegor stopped eating and Leviathan blinked at her. “OF course they will, who can stand up to the might of our army.” Leviathan said dismissively.

“Someone stopped your army before.” Evelyn pointed out.

Leviathan clenched her jaw. “And they will pay for such an insult.” She snarled, and then took a deep breath and contemplated what to do with her nails. “Besides that wouldn’t have faced a force like the one we have currently amassed.”

“You sure?”

Leviathan lifted her head and narrowed her eyes.”Of course I am. Do you doubt me?”

Evelyn held up her hands in surrender. “Of course not, I just wanted reassurance.”

Leviathan nodded her head and then went back to her nails.

“But I wonder who leads the rebels and how they found out about the fire thing?” Evelyn wondered aloud as she went to eat the rest of her pie.

“Speaking of that, I went and some reading on whom exactly were the people that Lucifer and Satan deposited.” Belphegor said, as he finished with his meal and pushed his plate away.

Leviathan turned to Belphegor with a raised eyebrow. “You can read? Nice to know you finally learned how, here is a ‘round of applause for your achievement.” Leviathan slowly brought her hands together and clapped.

Belphegor shot Leviathan an unamused look and she responded with a smile but stopped clapping. “As I was saying, there wasn’t much information to be found, in fact there was practically none at all. How Asmodeus stumbled across the information I will never know. But what little information I did get said that there were two rulers. Ruled like tyrants and were widely disliked. Don’t know when they gained power or for how long they ruled, just know there rule ended when they were toppled by our good friends Satan and Lucifer.”

“Do our mystery tyrants have names?”

“Abaddon and Beleth.”

“And that’s all the information you got on them?”

An expression of offended surprise slipped onto Belphegor’s face. “That’s all there was to find.”

“If you so say.” Leviathan turned to Evelyn. “Now that story time is over are you ready to resume your training?”

Evelyn looked down at her empty plate. “Do I have much of a choice?”

Evelyn shot her a grin as she got up. “Not at all.”
