Brya locked eyes with him. She smiled; he casually nodded his head with the same old smile on his face. Then he turned his attention back to the papers in his hands and what he was being told.

Brya went on with her business, but it would be a lie to say she didn’t keep her ears open for what he is being told. She was looking busy but she was concentrated enough to hear Larry say he is not interested in the offer and that he has to go. He is polite, Brya did a mental shrug. Of course he must be some sort of a deal too to be able to have people bug him in a mall store about their company, Brya did another mental shrug.

“You know this would be the third time for this week that we run into each other.” Larry said, standing behind Brya.

Brya turned around calmly, “and we still don’t know each other’s names.”

Larry frowned childishly, “But I told you mine.”

“Oh yea Larry. My bad I forgot.” Brya said “Well I’m Brya, since I haven’t told you mine.”

They shook hands. Larry didn’t try to kiss her hand. Brya took note of that.

“I think it is a very good thing that you finally told your name. Right? It means that I am not creepy to you anymore?” Larry asked, leaning on a rack.

Brya smiled, “Yes and no.”

“What does that mean?”

“That means yes you are not creepy anymore and no I am not a stuck up like you are making me look like.”

“Hhmm I never thought you are a stuck up. An angry drunk with good looks, but stuck up! Never that.” Larry replied.

Brya laughed and nodded her head repeatedly in admiration of his smart tongue. “Yeah I guess that’s fair to think.” She said, putting down the hanger she was holding. She planned to walk out of this store and make Larry do the same, if he could and would.

Larry looked at her with a certain look in his eyes, “Are you not going to get that?”

Brya shook her head, “No, I was about to check the other stores out.”

Larry’s eyes rounded a bit, “What! Other stores don’t carry this brand. I am sure you haven’t tried this on because if you had you’d know nowhere else in Paris you could find this material and style.”

Brya gave him a judgmental look, “Do you even work here?”

Larry’s eye went back to normal. He leaned back on the rack again. His hand went into his bush of a hair and stretched out a couple of curls, “I own here.”

Brya looked around a bit, she giggled with a hidden disbelief, “Let me guess, built from ground up with your brother huh?”

Larry grinned. This time with a husky look in his eyes, he stepped close to Brya. He had to look down because of his height, “I’m impressed, you listen very well.”

Brya was aware of the physical closeness between the two of them; she smiled very slightly, “That’s a good quality to have.” Purposely she has quoted Larry’s words from the day in the studio, something Larry picked up on quickly too.

His eyes evaluated her, “Alisha aider cette madame trouver ce qu'elle a besoin

Alisha obeyed Larry. She walked towards the spot he was standing at.

Larry smiled and smoothly walked away from Brya. He had other business to attend to, as the man was waiting and staring at him not from away from where he was standing at. This project was one of the ones that had more paper work than body work which was more time consuming than fun.

Brya used all the help Alisha could give her. She ended up buying a top that she didn’t really need, but she did learn something about Larry that she has been missing out on.

He is exactly the needless type of man with much independence and charm that trap Brya’s heart. She is attracted to the unique type that would make everything into something to ask about. Of course even Larry’s clothing raise a question but something in him that has never attracted Brya to another man was in act. Brya tried to figure out what it is as she drove herself home.

Larry on in his store was smiling to himself not because he was letting his muscles do what they naturally do, but because he knew he has played the role of the guy, that guy, who bring Brya to her knees. One way or the other, he knows women too well and he is determined to get what he wants.
