“Get out of here, I’m not in the mood” Brya complained to her roommate.

“Why can’t you just tell me what’s wrong?” Tayia pushed on the subject.

“Nothing is wrong. It’s not a sin to want to be alone. Jesus…” Brya put her lap top besides her and picked up her phone.

“I mean look at who is saying that! Brya something is wrong and you know you can’t hide it from me. Come on” Tayia sat on Brya’s bed. She wasn’t going to let her roommate feel like she has no one to talk to.

“It’s nothing. I just need some time alone. I’m serious, just give me some time.” Brya brushed off her roommate’s concern nicely, because she was ashamed to talk about it.

“Is it a guy?” Tayia joked.

“No.” Brya fell deep in thoughts. She realized no man will ever be interested in her until she loses this belly. She became ever sadder. “Who the fuck will ever be into me”

“Is it your job?”

“Stop this. No”

“Is it about what that tall kid said?” Tayia referred to three days ago when they had gone to a nearby club.

“Oh my God no. But now that you reminded me about what he said I feel bad again.” Brya covered her face.

Tayia smirked. “He was cute as hell.” She didn’t realize Brya’s sadness with the mentioning of him because she got lost in her own thoughts.

Brya looked at Tayia’s face with narrowed eyes, “I think you have a crush on him.” She accused Tayia judging by how she spoke about him.

“What? Noo”

“Uh, yes! That’s why you’re making everyone go back to that club. ‘Cause you know he will be there, in the same spot dancing like he does.” Brya said.

“Oh my gooosh, Bryaa listen to a girl…” Tayia grabbed Brya’s both shoulders and talked with a stomach full of butterflies. “He is such a good dancer! And he is cute as hell. I don’t understand why anyone would not want to just jump on him even when he blinks.” Brya looked at her roommate with a face full of judgment.

“Riiight…” Brya took Tayia’s hands off of her shoulder. “You have a crush on him. It’s kind of sad that he hasn’t even talked to you, though” Brya stood up and went pass Tayia.

“Yes he has talked to me. And he told me that I am beautiful and that I have pretty lips.” Tayia followed after Brya to the kitchen.

They both smelled something that was baking, perhaps a cake of some sort.

Brya threw up her hands, “Who the hell says you have pretty lips, that’s weird”

“He does and he really means it” Tayia sat on the counter.

“Whoa whoa…” Brya turned around, “But when did he have time to tell you these things?”

Tayia perked up with Brya’s question. It was exactly and all she wanted to talk about at this moment, him and last night. “Last night, when I went to the club, he was there and he talked to me. I didn’t talk to him, he talked to me. So you can see he want this...” She gestured to her body and smirked.

“Oh that’s what you did last night?” The third roommate walked out of her room. She shook her head and sat on a chair by the counter.

“What the fuck that club is your hang out spot now?” Brya said in shock.

“Can I get a break please? You were all being lame last night so I thought I’d go there and vibe_” Tayia explained herself.

Cara interrupted her, “If you had told me about where you are going, I would have come with you.” She felt betrayed that her friend wouldn’t tell her about going to a club.
