“I can't believe you got me up at-”  Lila yawned and stretched before continuing to complain to Justin.  “Six in the morning just to go for a run.”  She rubbed her eyes and glared at Justin.  He just laughed at her expression.  "It's my first morning here!"

“You are an extremely lazy wolf.  How do you stay skinny?”  Justin chuckled.

“I do exercise.  I run in the evenings... sometimes.”  She rubbed her eyes again.  She would get Justin back for this.  She smirked thinking about the ways she could do it.  I'll fight him in school. I'll beat him in front of everyone.

“Alright!  Shift.”  Lila groaned.  Luckily, Justin had packed a pair of spare clothes for him and Lila.  She didn't care about wearing his clothes.  She stripped into her underwear and looked over her back.  She hated her birthmark.  It was weird.  “Stop staring at your arse. J ust because we've got a fantastic bum doesn't mean you need to stare at it all day.”

“Jay, this is my bum. It's not yours. It's on my body-”

“Yeah but we've got the same genes.  Same butt!”  Lila shook her head.  She couldn't believe she was related to this... this... dumbo.

“Whatever, and I was staring at the birthmark.”  Lila frowned.  It was her birthmark which separated the twins.  She had one and he didn't.  Mamaw said that they weren't identical in every way when both twins complained about the birthmark.

“Stupid thing.”  Justin hated the birthmark because it separated them.  Sure, they weren't identical but they pretty much shared everything else.  Both had the ice-blue eyes, both had platinum white hair and both were slim but they were both opposite in heights and personalities.  Lila was the shy, silent one whereas Justin was the loud, outgoing one.

“Ready?”  Lila smirked.  As soon as they were shifted, they'd race around the forest.

“Race to the park in the centre of town.  There's a massive willow tree that has the bag behind it.”  Lila nodded, understanding.  She had no idea where it was, but she would try and beat Justin.

Crouching into position, facing Justin, Lila imagined herself in wolf form.  She imagined her pure white fur sprouting from her skin, she imagined her tall and much larger form (meaning she'd have a few bones to break and stretch, but nothing she'd not felt before) and she imagined her long tail swishing behind her.  Lastly, she imagined her pure black eyes.  The darkest thing out of her whole wolf form.

Struggling for control, as when werewolves shifted their wolves had more power, she snarled . She could feel her taking over.  She wouldn't allow it; not here, not ever.

“Oh, come on Lila.  You'd love to let me free.”  Her wolf taunted her.

No.  I won't let you gain control. She replied, fighting for dominance.  She was sure that she had started to tremble.

“Do it, you know you want to.

            No!

“Lying is a horrible habit to have, Lila. Didn't your parents teach you any better?”  Lila hated the fact that their wolves knew everything about them.  Their past, their weaknesses, their strengths...
