After we talked to Cole, we went home. When we came out, Leo wasn't there waiting for us. We guessed that he went home without us.

I don't understand. I thought I got through to him this morning. I thought he said he'd give Cole a chance. Well he didn't actually say that. But I thought that that was what "you're right" meant. I guess not. I guess, "you're right" actually meant "you have a point, but I still don't trust him."

I just don't understand why he won't trust him. I mean, I do, but is he going to hold that over Cole's head forever? After the people that that he's killed himself? After the people he's injured? The people he's sent to the hospital? The people he made go missing?

I walked upstairs into our room and Leo was lying on his bed.

"Thanks for turning everyone against me," he said.

"No one is against you," I said.

"Then what do you call that?" he asked.

"Them giving someone a chance," I said. "They didn't trust him for their own reasons, not because you told them not to. In case you haven't noticed, we don't take orders from you anymore."

"Whatever," he said. "I don't want to argue about this again. Good night."

I went to bed and I fell asleep instantly.

After the party was over and everyone left, I decided to take a shower.

I got in and closed the shower curtain. I stood under the water for a few minutes then turned around to grab the shampoo.

The curtain was opened up halfway. I swear I closed it all the way.

I looked up and I saw my birth father staring at me. How long has he been there? Then he started pacing around.

I started to close the curtain but it got stuck. I tried again and again, finally it started moving. A hand grabbed it, and my father's head poked through.

I started feel as scared as I was as a kid again and slowly slipped down to the floor of the bath tub.

He pulled the curtain back all the way.
