“MOM!!!!” I shouted as I stared at the lifeless body that laid unconscious on the ground of our living room. I didn't know what to do. It was like shock, sadness and worry glued me to where I was standing. I wanted to run to her and help her but I couldn't do anything but shout. “I NEED YOUR HELP HERE!! MOM!!”
“What's wro-- WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!” My mom panicked as she witnessed the sight that I was currently seeing. Her motherly instincts took over her as she ran to my 13-year old sister.
“I don't know, Mom. I was just watching her practice her ballet routine for their talent show when suddenly she began falling and then I panicked and I didn't know what to do.” I cried.
“Call for an ambulance now!”
I dialed 911 and a lady picked up the other line. “911. What's your emergency?”
“My sister fainted out of nowhere and she has been unconscious for about 15 minutes now. I need an ambulance right away, please.” I said with my shaky voice as I tried my best to collect myself so they would understand the words that I was saying. After I gave our address and all other needed information to the lady, they told me that the ambulance would arrive at our house in about 5 minutes or less.
After crying and waiting for 5 minutes, the ambulance finally arrived. The paramedics rushed through the door as I opened it and they gave first aid to my sister, and put her on a stretcher for her to be taken away. “Mom, you go with Cali. I'll go pick up Caleb from his voice lessons, and I'll inform Dad too. We'll catch up with you guys at the hospital.”
“Alright, honey. You be careful okay?” My mom said worriedly as she ran up to the paramedics in the ambulance and they drove to the direction of the hospital.
Once they left, I grabbed my car keys, locked our front door and ran to my car. I dialed Dad's number while I was buckling my seatbelt and I put him on speaker as I got out of our drive way. “Hey Darling! What's up? Why did you call?”
“Dad! I'm sorry if I disturbed you from your work but you have to rush to the hospital now! Something happened to Cali and Mom's already there with her. I'm on my way to pick up Caleb from his voice lessons and we'll immediately go there after.”
“Alright. I'll be there as soon as I can. In fact, I'm about to leave the office now. Drive safely and I'll see you there, okay? I love you.”
“Yes, Dad. I love you too” Then as I hung up the call, I arrived at the studio where Caleb was taking his voice lessons. As soon as I parked the car, I rushed to the receptionist at the front desk and asked her where Caleb Johnson was taking his lessons.
“Left wing, second door to your right.”
“Thank you!” I ran across the hall and searched for the correct room. As soon as I found it, I knocked repeatedly.
“Oh hi, Meg! It's been a while!” My old vocal coach said as he opened the door. I used to take voice lessons but after my coach told me that I was good by myself, my parents decided to stop my voice lessons and then they enrolled Caleb. “What are you doing here?”
