“Let's us congratulate our newly graduates by giving them a big warm of applause.” The emcee said after the last name was announced and everyone cheered and clapped. Some parents were crying because of their child's achievements and some students were cheering, throwing their graduation cap in the air, glad to be out of high school already.

“Congrats!” Riley and I said simultaneously as we hugged each other with big grins on our faces. We finally conquered and survived high school. We both looked back to where our families were and we gave them a thumbs up as they returned the gestures.

After singing our graduation song, we all went to our own families. I was greeted by a big hug by Caleb. Mom was smiling proudly at me, same with Dad who was pushing Cali's wheel chair. Cali was allowed to be out of the hospital today for my graduation and because Uncle Mark, her doctor, was also gonna be in the event so the hospital allowed her.

“Congratulations, Meg!” Mom and Dad greeted as they kissed both my cheeks.

I crouched down to Cali's height and see that she was smiling proudly at my accomplishment. “Are you okay?”

“Yes, I'm fine.” She said. “Although it's getting a little crowded here.”

I kissed her cheek and I took her from Dad and I started strolling her out of the school gymnasium. Our family close behind. When we got out, Dad told us that he'll just get the car and that he'll go back here to pick us up. He left with Caleb so it was just me, mom and Cali. A few seconds later, the McDonough's came out of the gym too.

“Hey, Angel. Congratulations!” Connor said as he hugged me from behind and pecked my cheek.

I smiled at him gratefully. I'm pretty there was a chance of me not being at the graduation if it weren't for Connor's tutoring. I know, you might be thinking why they were here when they should be on tour. To clear things up, they were given a 3-day break and it happened to be on the dates of the dance (yesterday), the graduation (today), and then tomorrow, when they would have to go back.

“Why, thank you.” I said as I returned the kiss on his cheek. “Will I see you later?” I asked. Mom and Dad planned a little bit of a gathering to celebrate my graduation but it would be held at Cali's hospital room. It's just simple. Pizza, drinks and some chit-chats here and there. Nothing extravagant. Certainly no alcohol.

“Of course. Besides, Riley also planned on celebrating his graduation with Cali.”

Dad honked the car's horn and we started moving to the car after I gave Connor a smile and a small nod. I pushed Cali's wheel chair near the back seat and I started detangling her IV tube and passed it to Caleb who was already seated inside. Mom was still talking to Mrs. McDonough, probably about the party later. Although, I wouldn't call it a party. It's more of like a small gathering.

“Here, let me help you.” Riley said as he picked up Cali from the wheel chair and placed her gently on the back seat then buckled her seat belt for her.

“Thank you.” I said as Cali whispered, “Thank you, Riley.”
