“Connor, come on. You have to leave this room to at least have a real bath or something.” Braiden persuaded me. “To be honest, man, you're starting to stink.”

But his words didn't budge me. I still sat on that uncomfortable chair that I've learn to tolerate for weeks now, and continued to stare at Meg hoping that any second now, she would open those beautiful eyes of hers. It's been two weeks since the accident and I never left her here alone. My brothers would bring me some clothes then I would take a bath at her hospital room's bathroom, then I would eat the hospital food that were meant for her. I would also play some of her favorite songs on my guitar and sing for her when I feel like it. I've been also sleeping here in her room, obviously. It's a good thing that my dad's a doctor here; he managed to convince the other nurses and doctors to let me stay here even beyond visiting hours, and he promised that I wouldn't cause any trouble. I mean, what trouble can you cause in a hospital room where your girlfriend is lying, basically dead?

Last weekend, her family came down here to visit her and check up on her. I remained silent the whole time because I felt like they were blaming me for what happened to their daughter but then Aunt Lisa talked to me and told me that none of it was my fault and they are not blaming me at all. She also thanked me for looking after her daughter when they couldn't. It must be really hard on them seeing that they already lost a family member before and now, their only daughter left is on that hospital bed, lying lifeless, and almost on the verge of death. I can't imagine how hurt they must be right now. I know that they are worried for her as much as I am, maybe even more. But right now, we can't do anything much besides to hope for the best that she'll wake up any time soon. I told them that I would inform them as soon as she wakes up.

“She's not going anywhere.” Thomas said, supporting Braiden in this argument. They really wanted me to at least get out of here for a little while. Get a breather, or maybe a Starbucks. I haven't had Starbucks in two weeks, too. “Braiden and I will stay here and we'll call you if anything happens. You'll only be gone for about 30 minutes, nothing could possibly happen.”

I looked at them with my tired eyes and I nodded. I stood up from my chair and gave my two best friends a hug and made my way outside where Riley was waiting for me. He was gonna drive me home because they all claimed that I wasn't in the right state to drive myself home. We don't want me to end up in the same situation as Meg, do we?

“Hey, bro. How are you holding up?” Riley asked and I just nodded in return. I really didn't want to talk to anyone right now besides Meg. I just want her to wake up now. I want to hear her voice and her laugh. I wanna see her awake and alive.

Riley guided me to his car and then he drove me home. I took a short nap in the car the whole way home but then Riley woke me up when we reached our destination and I noticed that there were 3 more cars parked in front of our house. We have guests? I asked myself mentally.

“Riley, who's here?” I asked, saying my first few words for the day.

“I have no idea.” Riley said as he eyed the cars suspiciously but then I recognized them when I got a closer look. One was Rachel's car – our publicist, another was Megan's, and the last one was our Manager's car.

Riley and I looked at each other and it looked like we both thought of the same thing. We're in trouble. We both immediately rushed to the door and went to the living room where we heard people talking. Will, our manager, was seated in the middle of the living room with Rachel and Megan on each side of him. Our mom, and Toby was also there.
