Knock. Knock.

“Come in!” I yelled as someone knocked on my hotel room door.

“You look beautiful, dear!” Aunt Joan greeted me as soon as she came to view in the vanity mirror. Behind her were Riley and Toby, looking dashing as ever. As of this moment, I was only wearing a bath robe supplied by the hotel, and I was having my hair and make-up done by Kristen. Remember her? Cody Simpson's stylist from the Paradise tour way, way back before.

“Wait, until she's in her dress.” Kristen said, curling the tips of my hair and placing them in a up-do that looked like Taylor Swift's hair in her Love Story music video.

Aunt Joan was wearing a sky blue A-lined gown that was elegantly designed, and suited her age. Riley and Toby were both wearing black tuxedos with a light blue polo inside and their white neck ties. Everybody's looking their best today. Why? Because today's the day we've all been waiting for. The day that Connor and I have been preparing for months now. It was our wedding day.

“Okay, so the reason why we're here is because we're gonna give you something.” Riley said, going to me, and giving me a small kiss on the cheek. Toby did the same.

“What is it?” I asked.

Riley placed a white gold bracelet around my wrist covered in sapphire gems, and Aunt Joan gave Kirsten a hair brooch covered in white pearls, and sapphire gems that matched the ones in the bracelet that Riley gave me. She instructed her to find a place for it on my hair when she's finished. “We figured, you don't have something blue, and something borrowed yet so we decided to give you this.”

“Something new: your gown, something old: your shoes, something blue: that sapphire bracelet Riley and I bought for you, and something borrowed: Mom's hair brooch when she got married to Dad.” Toby explained.

“Aww, you guys! Thank you so much!” I said, smiling at them. I would hug them and kiss them but Kristen would get mad at me if I moved too much. She already got mad at me for a couple times because I kept scratching my face and then I would keep moving my head to watch the television. What? I'm sorry, I'm so nervous.

“You're welcome, dear!” Aunt Joan smiled adoringly at me. “We'll leave you to finish preparing. See you in an hour.”

Kristen continued to finish my hair, then she retouched my make-up, helped me to slip into my gown, and then she placed my shoes on for me. My gown was a white A-lined, slightly puffy, elegant gown with a train, and everything was covered in lace. It had a halter neckline made out of lace, too. Connor suggested to my designer that I should have a princess ball gown sort of wedding gown but I didn't really like it because it was so heavy and when I tried one on, the whole dress swallowed me and I didn't feel comfortable in it. So I made a sneaky phone call one night, and told my designer that I just want a simple gown that didn't really have to be that puffy. I wanted something that would somehow show off my figure but at the same time had a conservative side to it. She came up with this gown that I was wearing, and Connor didn't have any idea that I changed it. So he's in for a surprise later.

I waited for a while in my hotel room, watching TV until my Dad and Mom came in to fetch me and bring me to the garden venue for the ceremony. My Mom was a bit of an emotional wreck but she did her best to not cry too much because her make up would be ruined. My Dad looked at me as if he couldn't believe that his little girl was all grown up, and about to get married. He also had that jealous look on his face; he was jealous because there was already another man in my life.
