Never Leave My Side (A Niall Horan Story)

"What's this?" Dustin asked as all of us piled into the house. He saw the boys come in after me. "Well hey guys!" He said smiling.

"Dustin!" They yelled running at him. I just stood there confused. Tori walked in beside Hannah, standing with me confused as to what was going on.

"Hey guys, how was the show?" Dustin asked them, but stopped and suddenly had a puzzled look on his face. "Wait, what are you guys doing here?" He said.

I looked at da, who wasn't confused at all. He must know what's going on. "Da, a word with you." I said, leading him into the kitchen.

"So, what's up?" He asked once we were alone.

I looked at him and pointed to the chaos in the living room. "What's going on? How do they know Dustin?" I asked.

"Oh, well Dustin was the one who helped work everything out to have the show in that building." Da explained. "And Dustin and Harry's step dad are really good friends." He finished.

I looked at him more confused now. "How? This is Ireland. Harry's step dad isn't from Ireland, is he?" All of this is so confusing.

"I don't know either. But I better go order these pizzas." Da said walking out. "What kind of pizza does everyone want?" Da yells over them. I just laughed at him.

I walked to the cabinet getting a glass of water, when I hear someone walk into the kitchen. I finish filling my cup before turning around to see Daniel and Demetry standing at the door. "Uh, yes? Can I help you?" I asked. I looked at Daniel then added, "oh, and thank you, Hannah didn't stop smiling the whole day, and I don't think she has yet."

Daniel smiled, "no problem. But we need to talk to you . It's kind of important." Daniel said, walking forward with Demetry.

"Sure. What's up?" I asked them.

*Niall's Point Of View*

I can't believe I'm at Sapphire's house again. It still feels like home to me. I don't think the guys know how happy I am she went to the show tonight. I saw her in the front row with two other girls on each side of her. At first I didn't think it was her, but then she smiled. That same smile that I've loved for years. I noticed she looked at me half of the concert. Trying to figure out why I looked so familiar maybe? Then when I tripped myself and Harry said my full name, her head snapped up. For a while she looked like she couldn't believe it was me.

After the show when I got to see her, my heart was racing. I've wanted to see her for a long time, and then I was about to. I hoped she wasn't mad at me. And here I am standing in her home. I have missed it so much. I look around, but I don't see her. In the kitchen maybe? I excuse myself and walk that way. Daniel walks out laughing as I walk in.

I looked at Sapphire, who was hugging Demetry. He said something to her, making he smile, and laugh. She had her eyes closed. I wish I knew what he said. I watch closer as she whispers something in his ear. This time he pulls back, looking her in the eyes. I can't explain how badly I want to interrupt them. She snaps her fingers in front of him.

"You blinked! I win!" She said laughing.

"Oh whatever. I'll win next time." He said poking her sides, making he giggle. "I'll talk to you later, I've got to talk to Daniel." He said turning around and leaving.

"I've been replaced, I see." I said walking up to her, trying to hide the hurt in my voice.

"No one could replace you. You know that." She said smiling at me. I had no choice but to smile back at her. She gets me every time.

"I've really missed you, Niall." She says. I could see those tears coming back. I hate when she cries. It kills me.

I pull her into a hug and hold her, "I missed you too, Sapphire. More than you could ever imagine." I said. I could feel her grip tighten around my waist. "You don't need to cry, love. I'm right here. But when I'm not here, I'm happy that you have a guy like Demetry to keep you happy." I said.

Her grip immediately loosed and she pulled away, looking at me with disgust. "Demetry? Ew. That's just gross." She said. "He and Daniel are like brothers to me." Sapphire laughed.

"But I thought-" I started, but she cut me off.

"Demetry was hugging me because I put in a word for him to the girl he really likes." She explained.

I felt dumb."Oh." Was all I could say. She just laughed coming back for a hug.

I didn't want to ruin it, but when I heard Jake, "PIZZA IS HERE!" I took off running.

*Sapphire's Point Of View*

I felt myself fall to the kitchen floor as Niall ran from the kitchen at the mention of food. I heard someone chuckling behind me. I stood up and looked at the door to see Daniel standing there. "What are you laughing at?" I asked, pointing at him.

"Oh nothing, just you." He said laughing at me again.

I glared at him. "And why is that?"

He pointed to the living room. I walked over and looked in the living room at what he was pointing at. Niall. "You love him, don't you?" He said.

I felt my cheeks get warm, but didn't let him see that. "Well yeah. He is my best friend you know." I replied.

"No Sapphire, you know what I meant. You LOVE him. I see the way you look at him, I see the way he looks at you. Hell. I see the way you guys look at each other. It's not exactly rocket science." Daniel said, walking more into the kitchen.

I spun around, following him. "What are you talking about? I, he, we don't look at each other like anything. Just as friends. That's all." I said, and now that I voice it, I realize how much it kind of sucks.

"Sapphire, it's okay. You can tell me, I promise not to tell anyone." He said to me.

I just look at him. I know I can trust him. He's like a little brother to me. "Alright." I said sighing in defeat. "It's true. I love him, but I don't want our friendship to change." I said looking down.

"Feels good to get that off your chest, doesn't it?" Daniel asked.

I kept my head down but nodded. Time to turn the tables on him. I looked up at him with a smile on my face.

He put his hands up as if he was surrendering. "What? I don't like that look." He said slowly putting his hands back down to his sides.

I sat down at the island looking at him."So what about you?" I asked him. "What do you think about Hannah?"

Daniel looked down smiling, and I saw the red in his cheeks he was trying to hide. "She's so beautiful. Demetry and I had a good chat with Jeremy, and he won't be messing with her ever again. I just don't know how I would tell her how much I like her." He said looking at me. "I like Hannah a lot. And I wish so bad that I could be the one to tell her every day how beautiful she is, and how much she is worth. I want to be the reason she can't stop smiling every second of everyday. I don't know Sapphire. How do you just tell someone that you just met the day before?" He said.

"Well, you just did." Hannah said walking into the kitchen with a big smile on her face.

"I'll just be in the living room." I said backing out of the kitchen.

Sorry this chapter was really long. And sorry it took me so long to get it up. I've been busy. I'll try to get them up faster.
