*Sapphire's POV*

It's been a month since Niall left me. A month since I've called him. A month since I've seen him. A month since I've talked to him.

I've tried to text him, but he never answers them. When I call, he ignores it after the second ring. I decided last week that all I'm doing is bothering him, so I quit.

To say I miss him is an understatement. I would give anything to even just talk to him right now Is that so much to ask? He's the one that wanted to stay friends, and now he won't even talk to me.

"Hey, whatcha watchin'?" Tori asked, walking into the living room.

Did I forget to mention that Tori and Hannah have been staying with me?

I shrugged and tossed her the remote. "You can change it. I'm not really paying attention to it anyway."

I began to stand up, but Tori pushed me back down and sat next to me. "Listen, I know you miss Niall, believe me. I miss Harry just as much, but we can't just sit here and let it drag us down. I know it's just been a month-" I cut her off.

"And I can wait forever. I can't just give up Tori. I've fallen too hard and too far. You of all people should know that." I stated.

"I know, but can't you jus-" Her phone rang in her pocket, making her stop.

"Are you going to answer that?" I asked when she didn't move.

"What?" She asked, and pointed to me. "That's your phone."

I reached into my pocket and took out my phone. "Oh."

I answered the phone quickly. "Hello?"

"Hi. Is this Sapphire James?" The voice asked.

"Yes. Who is this?" I asked. Tori watched as I shifted on my feet.

"This is Doctor Kings from Jones West Hospital." He said.

I tensed up. "Is som-something wrong?" I asked. Tori eyes me curiously, I responded with a small shrug.

Dr. Kings cleared his throat. "Well, I hate to be the one to tell you, but Mr. Jacob James has been in  an accident."

Tears sprang to my eyes. "I-is he okay?" I asked shaky.

"He is currently in surgery. Are you his sister?" He asked.

"Daughter." I corrected. "He doesn't have a sister. I'll be there as soon as I can." I said before hanging up without another word.

"What's going on?" Tori asked.

I grabbed my shoes and then pulled her to the door. "Da's been in an accident. We need to go." I answered.

"Oh. Let me drive." Tori said, taking my keys from me.

I didn't argue as my tears already blurred my vision. All this is happening so quickly.

I can't lose my da too.

I pulled my phone out again and found Demetry's number. I hit 'call' and he answered after the second ring. "Hey, what's up?"

I gave the phone to Tori, knowing that I wouldn't be able to speak.

Tori explained everything as I sat sobbing in my seat. She hung up and nearly sped the rest of the way to the hospital.

We walked through the doors and a doctor walked toward us. "Are you Sapphire?"

I nodded. Tori spoke up for me. "Yes. I'm her friend, Tori. Do they know anything yet?"

"I'm Dr. Kings. They still have him in surgery. He's expected to be there for a few more hours. I can't really tell as of right now how things will turn out, but I will have you updated as soon as I am told." He promised.
